American Express/Carnival Offer and NCL offer

I got two deals from American Express offering $$ statement Credits for booking with cruise lines.

 

One for Carnival - $75. credit for $250.

One for NCL - $100. credit for $500.

 

Looks like someone wants me to take a cruise :)

 

... I used the Carnival one to pay for my already booked Carnival Cruise.. if it works free $75!!!

Don't know. Mine was American Express Blue. It said it was based on my AMEX purchases. I have used it for Carnival but not for NCL.

 

Offer was on my AMEX home page at the bottom.

I also have their blue card. The offer is in the same place, but only the Carnival offer.

 

Reading the offer thoroughly, I see that it says it is good by using Carnival or a travel agent, but then says third party transactions are invalid. That seems contradictory to me. I believe It also says that it is not good for transfers or onboard spending.
