Solo allowed 2 bottles of wine?

If your a solo, are you allowed 2 bottles of bubbly for your room or just the same one per person? I know what the rules say but since a solo is technically paying for 2 fares, I wonder if there is an unwritten rule. Anyone know?

One bottle per person as I understand it.

Not allowed as far as I know and I have several friends that sail solo.

 

If you want to risk having one confiscated, put both in your carry on.

 

Or you could get friendly with someone in line at check in and if they are not carrying, ask them if they would take one for you. I would, and have done so with others in my group.

At the security area they wouldn't know or really care if you are travelling solo, so one person one bottle. Nothing would stop you from trying to bring a second bottle and they might not pick up on it, but if they do they will dispose of it.

We travel with my parents and my husband takes all 4 bottles on. Out of 4 cruises, only on one cruise has anyone even asked him. He just answered that they are for him, his wife, and his in-laws. They said okay and sent him through.
