Video Pokers vs Slots

Hey casino playas!

I have questions regarding points for drinks on us. Does anyone know how much coin in it takes to get to 1500 points? Is it $1500 or $15000 or neither?

Are the coin in to points rates the same for slots as they are for video poker?

Are there any good VP machines? I recently became a fan for better or (more likely) for worse!

How points are calculated

Slots

Every $2.50 ran through machine = 1 point

Video Poker

Every $5 ran through machine = 1 point

Texas Holdem Tables

No points are earned

Table points are calculated as follows

Amount of bet x hours played

For example, to earn the 200 required points for the DOU card it would take:

$15 per hand x 16 hours

$25 per hand x 8 hours

$50 per hand x 4 hours

$100 per hand x 2 hours

CCL is now transitioning in a new tracking system fleet wide for table players by 2016

Currently available on all the newer ships, the dealer swipes your card upon initial buy-in.

Steve I posted the points chart but it's not actual cash in per say.......its money run through including wins.....Few times I got 1,500 points and only spent $200 out of pocket cash and still had over $700 in the machine

Hope this helps

Also last few cruises hardly anyone was playing video poker....I tried a few hundred and it went quick lol

Are the video poker machines that tight?

Also, what is the minimum on a video poker machine? Quarter?

All slots are that tight.

They have no competition and who regulates? Not the Nevada Gaming Commission.

You have a point there. However, they would need some machines pay off. Else no one would gamble. And the casino is probably their biggest moneymaker.

On the Glory in February, I saw a woman hit several times on video poker, totaling $20,000..

She was playing $1.25 a hand.

Nice to hear that someone has won on the poker machines!

I have won a few times on video poker throughout the years, several straight flushes and lots of 4 deuces combinations but overall my loses at video poker far out weight any wins. The machines are super tight and the pay tables are terrible. I do much better on the regular slots in particular the Quick Hit machines. Now, the only reason I play a video poker machine is because

I am having a really bad night on the regular slots and I want to make my $ last a little longer (seems to take more time for each pull on the video machine because I have to think a bit before hitting the button :D) or because the casino is so packed and there are no machines that I like to play open.
