Went to Explorers after the show for the music title trivia. Did poorly... They gave bonus points for line dancing to some song I've never heard of.

Here's the winner in a tie-breaker.

Having a drink while waiting in Explorers for the comedian, Steve White. Saw him on a previous cruise, and he was hilarious.

Time for a random pic: here's my Regal watch face...

Urban Trekker - sorry, I missed your first question... Yes, every time I've departed from Vancouver, US Customs is cleared before boarding. (As with major Canadian airports). This means no customs when disembarking at the US destination.

Hi! We're very much enjoying your review so far. We got off the Ruby this morning and it's always fun to keep up with the ship once we've departed. It makes it (a little) easier to cope with being back home vs still on board ;)

I was a little annoyed with breakfast this morning. I vacated my cabin by 8, and headed to the MDR, where I found a huge line (my own fault for not getting breakfast earlier). After waiting for 5 minutes, the Maître'd came out to say the DR was at capacity, and only the few at the beginning of the line would be able to be accommodated. So I headed up to Horizon Court, where things could best be described as a zoo. No line to enter, but I must have just missed the rush, as there was very little food. No scrambled eggs, no fried eggs. It took a few minutes for a new tray of fried eggs. Then the fun began: finding a table. Both sides of Horizon and Caribe were packed. Many people were in the same predicament, and there was much grumbling about morons saving tables with suitcases while they went off to get food. I was able to get a single seat by sharing a table. All that said, my breakfast of fried eggs, crisp bacon, corned beef hash, biscuits and sausage gravy, and a bagel was excellent.

You've made me very happy! We'll be on the Crown for a one-night cruise from Vancouver to Seattle on May 20, so all this information is very helpful. Love that we won't have to go through Customs in Seattle.

Crappy weather in Seattle this morning. 10 degrees (50F) and wet. There was just an announcement that things were ahead of schedule and anyone could disembark at their leisure. I plan on staying aboard until they kick me off!

CanadianBurger, thank you for sharing about this cruise! I considered it, so it was fun to hear all the details. I noticed in the Patter that the casino would be closed the whole cruise. Was that correct?? I thought someone reported a while ago that Princess tries to sail far enough out to allow the casino to be open for a few hours at least.

Disembarkation was easy. Waited until the end. Walked right off with no wait. Had almost 23 hours on board! All you need to do in Seattle is hand your completed customs declaration to an officer as you walk out. No passport or anything else.

Cruisequeen4ever - unfortunately the casino was closed the entire voyage. I was on the northbound Seattle-Vancouver last Sept and it did open.

Ok, thank you. That sucks. It sounds like you can't expect it to be open on the one nighter and be pleasantly surprised if it is.

Thank you for your review. I really enjoyed it! Your pictures are some of the best I've seen on CC, such clarity.

Thanks! All the photos were taken with my iPhone 6.

I noticed we're both on the same Regal cruise in December!

Steve.

So I'm a little annoyed to learn that the free 150 minutes of Internet doesn't apply on 1-day cruises...

It applied. I used about twenty minutes of it.

I was on this sailing as well but except for two drinks in Crooners and some shopping to absorb OBC, didn't do much.

I've done five of these 1 nighters (4 on Princess, one on HAL) and I think the casino has been open going north each time and closed going south each time.
