Wrigley80's Carnival Vista Inaugural Cruise 5/1/16 photo review

After the Groove for St. Jude event we headed up to the Cherry on Top shop. Laura hadn't tried the ice cream from there yet so we both decided to go and check it out together.

 

 

All the toppings. And I thought the prices were pretty reasonable too

The Cherry on Top shop has outdoor seating. This is a very nice feature....so it allows you to enjoy your ice cream before it melts

For lunch on our sea day we decided to check out somewhere that we hadn't been yet...the Seafood Shack

 

 

 

 

I tried the Fish and Chips. I did not like it. I thought the fish was very greasy and the fries are the ones you can get at Guys Burgers. Not worth the upcharge in my opinion but I know others really enjoyed it

So after dinner we headed down to the atrium because we had plans...we were on a mission.

But before that mission could begin I had to make sure that I was properly hydrated....

 

So for those of you wondering if I got the Mythos beer back onboard....I sure did and it was so smooth.

Notice the bottle top...it was a peel back cap.

 

So now for our mission that brought us to the atrium. Earlier in the day Laura ran into John Heald when she was in the Spa. Laura told him that we had a surprise for him. He asked us to come to the Horizons dining room at 8:00 pm to meet with him so that's what we did

 

I brought John a chicken hat for him and his daughter Kye.

 

Now I know what some of you may be thinking....OMG the horror of wearing a hat in the dining room. I figure if the brand ambassador of the cruise line can do it...then go for it. It's your vacation do what you want...who cares what everyone else thinks

 

I also had these shirts made because we knew that John was going to be onboard....Proud Supporters of Heald Nation

 

HAHAHAHA....the cruise was complete.

He was very appreciative that I brought on for him and his daughter.

Now keep in mind that sitting at this table in the Horizons dining room were all the Carnival big wigs...John Heald and Jacinta, Christine Duffy (Carnival President), and Mickey Arison.

After all that fun and excitement Laura and I hung out in the Atrium Bar for a while and then we decided to head back to the cabin. I ordered some room service because I didn't eat much dinner. I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak and it was very good.

That concludes Day #6 onboard and our 2nd Fun Day at Sea

Day #7 would bring us to Crete, Greece. Crete is a Greek Island. I stayed onboard today because I had to do some work....I know I'm on vacation. But I promised my boss that I would send in my weekly numbers even from the middle of the Mediterranean. This seemed like a good port to get my work done...but of course I still had time for some pictures

Since there weren't many people onboard Laura and I took this as the perfect opportunity to get in the pools onboard. We decided to head to the Mid-ship pool because it was a little warmer than the Tides Pool

 

 

 

After about 4 hours of swimming, laying out in the sun, and drinking twilight zones....I was sunburnt, drunk, and hungry...in that order. HAHAHAHA

So we decided to head to Guys for a late lunch/early dinner. After that since we still had our suits on we headed up to the Spa for some more relaxing. Are you starting to see a trend here of what we did today....hehe

 

After our time in the Spa I headed back to the cabin to shower.

 

Tonight I went to Love and Marriage show which is one of my favorite shows to watch....it is always guaranteed for a good laugh

 

After the love and marriage show Laura and I split up...I headed to the Sky Box Sports Bar. I hadn't really been in there yet

 

 

They have soft pretzels and peanuts in the sports bar

Lucian (on the right) and Eon (on the left) were always in the Sports Bar...they were AWESOME guys. They each wanted a turn checking out Pedro

 

After a couple hours in the Sports Bar watching some NBA playoffs I headed back to the cabin. It was around 1:00 am but Laura was still up making sure that I got back to the cabin OK

Ilove reading your reviews. I too live in Davenport FL Have talked to you many times and now we are neighbors.

It has been a long time since we talked so you probably don't remember me.

Sadly, I am a recent widow and very lonely. We plan a burial at sea in Oct. for my husband. We did over 70 cruises and he wanted to be buried at sea He was a WW2 sea going American Indian proud Marine.

Hey Y'all...I'[m back. Sorry it has been a while....I have super busy at work. I am at work now but I have worked hard enough for today....who wants some more of my review.

 

Day #9 of our cruise would bring us to Valletta, Malta. It was a beautiful country. This was the first time that Carnival had stopped in Malta. More later on the significance of that

I had decided to stay onboard at this port because I had a bad headache so I just enjoyed the ship and took pictures of places that are not typically open all the time

 

Why not check out Dr. Seuss Bookville...man I wish I was a kid again

 

 

 

Ok so I may have read Green Eggs and Ham while I was in there....hehe

Now this is something new at lunch on Lido Deck. Everyday at lunch time they had coldstone ice cream. Each day was 2 different flavors....they definitely had some weird flavors....popcorn, pomegranate, peach, blueberry, caramel, and coconut. These were just the ones that I saw

 

And then there was a toppings bar with sprinkles, chocolate syrup, almonds, nuts, cookie crumbles, brownie pieces, and others

For lunch today I decided to check out the Blue Iguana Cantina for a couple chicken tacos

 

 

 

After lunch I headed up to one place I hadn't been yet.....the Serenity Deck

So on Sea Days this Fresh Creations Salad Bar is open on Serenity Deck. This is a new feature on the Vista
