Blue Chip club lost me

I was pleased on my first Celebrity Cruise that the casino host invited me to join the Blue Chip Club. Blue Chip club has some nice benefits if you like to gamble (which I do). I was even able to make a reservation under the Blue Chip Club. Today, I tried to book another cruise and they can't find my record.

They are going to call the ship I was on to see if they have record of me, but based on my experiences of ship to home office communications, I doubt that will help. Very disappointing. Any one have any thoughts on what I can do?

Do you still have your sail and sign card or ANYTHING that shows you were on the cruise? Just a thought.

How long ago was it you made the mentioned reservation? Do you still have that number? They should be able to cross reference from that. Or you can go to the "My Celebrity" Capt Club area of the web site and print off your sailing history.

All good advice. Unfortunately, they didn't give me a Blue Chip card as they signed me up on the last day.

I did give them the information on my cruise and they are going to "contact the ship", but I don't have a lot of faith in that. I'm afraid I may be stuck.

No your not, go to the Capt Club area of the web site and you can print out your history and send it to them.

Just finding a record of being on the ship won't help....they need to find a record that you were "inducted" into the blue chip club. If they didn't enter it correctly on-board, there is no way you are going to prove you are a blue chip club member. Hopefully, someone on board will find your name somewhere and correct their records. If not, you're back to square one.

I cruised on the Summit two summers ago through an offer from Mohegan Sun and received a postcard not long ago (like in February of this year) advertising a great discount from the Blue Chip Club. I was never approached on the ship to join Blue Chip. I called and they initially said it must be an error. I eventually emailed them a picture of the postcard I received and all of the sudden I appeared in the system. Not sure how it happened, but it worked out in the end. I share this because it did feel like the Blue Chip reached out with an offer and then, like your experience, 'lost me'. I hope it works out for you OP.

If that doesn't work ... and if you are an M-life member (you mentioned you like to gamble), have you considered using this status onboard. You cannot use both but Celebrity now has a relationship with the MGM-Mirage corporation. Nice benefits!!
