Please don't take this as anything other than for information. Where are the smoking areas on the Equinox.I don't care about inside because I refuse to smoke inside unless there is a smoking lounge which no X ships have anymore. Thank you for your responses in advance.

As you pointed out there are no inside smoking areas. Outside smoking areas will be spelled out in the Daily on arrival day. Note that there are occasional changes in the published areas if the ship is doing maintenance in one of the designated areas, or if it is taking on fuel.

I take it you are not trying to avoid the smoking areas as you pick your stateroom. If I'm wrong, then generally taking as stateroom on the starboard side is your best bet to avoid smoke.

Last Nov on the Equinox it was at the Mast Bar, opposite side from the Grill, and same side aft at the Sunset bar. And the same side on the pool deck. Left/Port side.

Correct, there are no area's inside in Ship proper where smoking is permitted.

On the S class ships, the smoking areas are generally on the port side. One is on deck five midship, one is at the sunset bar and lawn area aft on the port side, one is in the pool area close to midship on the port side and I think there is one up by the mast bar ... opposite side from the mast grill.

There might be another but from what I can remember, this is it.

If refueling on the port side of the ship, the smoking will be moved to the starboard side....but most likely, it will be temporary.

wow isn't it nice for a change for someone on these boards to ask a straight question about smoking on board without it turning into a personal vendetta.

I am a re-formed smoker and still believe normal people still have some rights

thank you to all those friendly posters / smokers or not.

I do find it a bit amusing that that one of the smoking areas is basically right on the jogging track. Doesn't bother me as I run but it is a funny to see some of the people that just woke up and need a cigarette. You can easily tell who stayed out late :)

For the comfort and enjoyment of our guests, our ships are designated as non-smoking; however, we recognize that some of our guests smoke. Therefore, cigarette, cigar and pipe smoking is permitted in designated outdoor areas of the ship. Smoking is not permitted in any dining venue, casino, theater, lounge, hallway, elevator or corridor. This policy includes smoking-like products such as electronic cigarettes.

Below are the common smoking areas on Equinox. Areas subject change at the ship's discretion.

  • Deck 15 - Aft port side next to Sunset Bar
  • Deck 14 - Starboard side next to the Mast Bar
  • Deck 12 - Port side midship
  • Deck 5 - Port side midship and forward
