Joe12 Posted July 27, 2016 Author #27 Share Posted July 27, 2016 (edited) We deliberately came to the Staten Island Ferry today because this was the day Anthem was in port to begin her 5 day to Bermuda before coming back to pick us up. So I made sure to take a picture of her. Great to see a Quantum Class for the very first time! (Click on the image if you want to see it bigger.) On the Staten Island Ferry, you can also see the Statue of Liberty. and the New York skyline. Edited July 27, 2016 by Joe12

Joe12 Posted July 27, 2016 Author #29 Share Posted July 27, 2016 Dinner tonight was at TGI Friday's just off Times Square. I got the impression that this wasn't a permanent TGI Friday's location. It had a very different decor to your regular TGI's branch. I had Jack Daniel's Crispy Coated Chicken Strips to begin, but I forgot to take a photo. I DID take a photo of my main course, I think this was a bacon cheeseburger. and also my drink, which was a good old glass of apple juice.

Anthem was my 10th cruise and we received a crystal block this cruise for reaching 140 points. Before we start, here's the ship! Thanks for taking the time to do the picture review. Joe12 Posted August 2, 2016 Author #41 Share Posted August 2, 2016 Hi Joe Looking forward to this review - we too, were on this cruise, flying from Edinburgh & stayed at the Crowne Plaza !:) Gill Wow, that's really cool. Our flight home was delayed 5 hours, did you fly non stop with United? Also, I noticed in your signature that you sailed Anthem from So'ton last year. How did it compare sailing from NJ? gillyd42 Posted August 2, 2016 #42 Share Posted August 2, 2016 Yes we flew direct with United and was happy with the service, would certainly fly with them again, worth the extra £`s. We flew with delta and air France out of Paris on our last cruise out of Bayonne and that was awful- too long, delayed, and stressful. Love the Quantum class, especially the anthem. Really enjoyed our med cruise last year, but this year for us felt more relaxed and laid back. Not sure if it was to do with the demographics on board, not as many kids, so we could use the seaplex facilities more. We also found it easier to get seats in the bars for pre dinner drinks this cruise- there were a lot of early diners too, whereas the med one always seemed to be busy in the bars an public areas at night. Very keen to cruise from the US again, every one was so friendly and interested in where we had come from.
