Sharing SPD/Platinum Perks

We are 4 in the same stateroom in the Haven on the Escape.

My wife and I got the SPD and we are also Platinum (2 free dinners le bistro).

Our inlaws are coming with us...wondering if we could use our SPD dinners to take them out to dinner one night?

IE: 4 of us go out to dinner and use up 4 of our 6 spd credits.

Could we gift them one of our le bistro dinners?

I appreciate it!

Sorry but they are tied to your card and are non transferable. The great news is you can dine away in the Haven all together......Maybe just ask for what you want from a specialty brought to you in the haven dinning room.

We were four in a stateroom with two on the SDP; when we arrived at Cagney's the maitre d' said, "this is only for two of you" which I knew. Yet when the tab was figured, they used four of the credits towards dinner (we were of course, charged for drinks) and that was fine with me. I think it will depend on who's writing up the check that night!

And yes, if two of you are platinum, each of you can "take" another person to dinner--the voucher allows the platinum member to "take" another person, so two of you can go twice, or four of you can go once.

I believe you can use them for the in laws if you all dine together. You are the only ones that can use your SDP package, but my understanding is you can use your Platinum certificates for their meal. I know you can take a guest with a certificate as I did so before my husband reached Platinum. I also recall someone stating they gave their certificates to people they met onboard for them to have a nice dinner with a free bottle of wine. Best to ask at Le Bistro on whatever ship you're sailing as the rules seem to constantly change with NCL.

We are platinum so my husband and I each received a certificate for dinner for 2. We had another couple traveling with us and we used our 2 certificates at Le Bistro for the 4 of us. We gave our certificates to the hostess before being seated. Great dinner with a fairly decent choice of bottled wine.

I've heard the wine list has changed but hopefully you still have a few options.

I know what the terms say...but we aren't trying to get anything that we aren't entitled to (more than 6 dining credits, if you will)
Well, yes you are… With your SDP perk, you are entitled to 3 meals for yourself, 3 meals for your wife, and zero meals for your in-laws. The whole point of making the SDP meals non-transferable is to encourage people in your situation (where not everyone in the group has a dining package) to pay for more meals so you can all eat together. Letting you redistribute the meals so you can all eat for free goes beyond what you are entitled to.

That said, the restaurant staff may be willing to go along with your plan, especially when you flash your Haven card at them.

We are platinum our friends are diamond and we bought the 3 night dining pkg. will we get two more nights in specialty restaurants?
Your friends' Diamond status won't be recognized, but each person who is Platinum with NCL will get a coupon good for two people to eat at Le Bistro, with a bottle of wine. Usually the Platinum guest has to be one of the two people, but they are not always strict about that. Edited by hawkeyetlse

There is no "Diamond" on NCL. I think you may be confusing NCL and RCCL. Are you sure you are on the correct board?

If you are talking about Caesars Total Rewards status on a casino comp, your stautus is meaningless on the cruise.
