Which Princess ship: Coral, Island, or Star?

We are trying to decide which Princess ship to choose for a 2017 June/July Vancouver to Anchorage cruise. We decided on Princess so we could see Glacier Bay. Is there a difference in the 3 ships doing that itinerary: Coral, Island, or Star? Does one of the ships have better viewing places? And if so, what are the best decks or areas for viewing the scenery, glaciers, etc? Thanks for your help.

This has been asked a lot on the Princess forums. You may want to do a search there.

Almost everyone says:

1. Coral

2. Star

3. Island

Coral is the favorite ship. Less passengers, front and aft viewing. The Island was a sister and then they butchered her (cut aft viewing, took out a lounge, cut promenade deck, put more passengers on it). Thus the Star is the 2nd choice.

I concur: Coral, Star, Island. We really enjoyed Coral in 2010; a unique but great layout. Star is similar to so many ships in the Princess fleet; still decent layout but doesn't have the forward Horizon Court (great for watching the ocean go by). Island got butchered as others have said; it'd have been a tie for Coral otherwise.

Excellent answer. The place to research difference in ships from the same cruise line is the board for that cruise line.
