Upgrade Fairy FINALLY called me!

I am super excited because I got my first call from the upgrade fairy today!!! I had booked the DH and I into an interior room for the 9/11/16 Dream cruise. We have never done an interior before but I had found the cheapest price I had ever seen on a 7 day cruise so we grabbed it. As we got closer to paying off the cruise and even after that I kept checking and calling Carnival to see what it would cost to upgrade to an ocean view or even a balcony but the cost was so prohibitive.

 

Well today I got the call! I was offered a deluxe ocean view that is bigger and has a junior tub and sink in a separate washroom for only $100! The room is usually for up to 5 people so it is bigger than the interior we had. I know some may be naysayers about this but to me this was a great deal! I get a window and a tub for $100 more rather than the $250 or more that I had seen online. And I have OBC as well from the excursion guarantee and my Carnival Mastercard. SCORE!!!! So this has been the least expensive cruise we have done thanks to tips from Cruise Critic members.

 

Now I just have to make it to this weekend :D

Nice upgrade, DOV is my favorite room on the Dream class ships. The extra shower and sink, the room is larger too.

Awesome and this gives me hope. We are sailing on 9/28 and I booked an inside spa cabin. I'd happily pay $100 more for a window, as long as we get to keep the spa pass.

We had this offer too on out first cruise on the Dream in 2012. While i didn't particularly like being on deck one, the room was great. It was nice to have a bathroom for each of us. Have a great time.
