Good Evening to all cruisers out there

 

I will once again attempt another Live From threads this time from the Freedom of the Seas sailing out of Port Canaveral.

 

This ship will be doing a Western Caribbean Itinerary.

 

I am cruising with my Sister and her boyfriend on this cruise. However I have my own room which will be a Promenade Room which is a first for me.

I will probably make my way up there after the Muster. I will probably be wearing my Southeast Regional ball cap.

Well I am now on board. Had a good day so far. Just to give everyone a heads up as I will be using military time during this Live @.

 

Embarkation was the easiest so far. Arrived at the port around 1230. With being Diamond Plus I was directed to the fast line thru Security. Once at check in I went into another lane that had no line to it. I was onboard and unpacked by 1330.

 

I am in a Promenade Stateroom. 6313 is the room that I have. I have a great view of the Café Promenade.

 

I will have pics once I download them.

 

I ended up getting the Internet package where it only cost me $50.

 

Tonight I had dinner at Chops and had a great Filet. Will be back at Chops on Wednesday.

 

Well off to explore the rest of the ship.

Well was able to get some photos uploaded.

 

Well I decided to park at the port. I know it is more expensive, but the car is so close to the ship

 

 

I decided to go with a Promenade stateroom.

I had a couple of stow-away's, Wonder if they will find there way to the Next Cruise.

Important question : how was the comfort of your mattress and pillows? Did you get a foam mattress topper??? Thanks, this is an issue for me and I'll be sailing FOS in November and my room is two doors down from yours, so I'm sure the two rooms have the same mattresses/pillows. TY.

I am also on FOS now. I sent an email to special needs and asked for a foam bed topper due to hip problems. It was on the bed when we arrived. Very comfortable!

I saw someone post about the new menu starting on FOS one day this week. Please let me know if you find out that is true. We are going to be on her in a few weeks and I am hoping for the old menu.

Love your review so far & your pics are great. We stayed in the cabin your in or the one nx to it at one time. We had gotten such a great deal on it that we couldn't pass it up, but it was alittle to small for us, but it was worth every penny ($349. ea.)! :D

Well as day 2 is winding down here is what happened today,

 

I got up and was at breakfast by 0900. After that it was time to check out a future cruise and then head to Meet and Mingle.

 

 

There was a good size crowd at the Meet and Mingle and the gave away about a dozen or so door prizes. They came close to my number but never called it. Here is the view from Olive or Twist

 

 

After that was over I went to lunch after shopping and relaxed in the hot tubs for a little bit.

 

They were having the Royal Blackjack Tournament going on today so I watched a round of it before I headed back to the stateroom for an afternoon nap.

 

One of my favorite places for a drink is the RBar. Another good place for a drink is the Scooner Bar.

 

 

Well it was a pretty good day on the seas, A few rain showers here and there but pretty smooth

 

 

After dinner I went the Conciarge Lounge for a little then went to see thee Millionare game show in the Star Lounge and finally went to see the Comedian. When I got back to the stateroom I had another animal waiting for me.
