Anyone going out on Majesty on Mon 10/3. Thoughts on Matthew?

Wondering if anyone is cruising next week (we leave on Mon for the Bahamas). Wondering what others that are, are thinking about Matthew. Hard to tell at this point where he's gonna be then.

We will be on there too. I'm just hoping it turns away. The one time I didn't buy trip insurance! Here's hoping we get to board, so it won't be a complete wash

By the time we depart Monday there should be time to scoot down the Florida Straights and head over to Key West and environs.

We did that on Sovereign a few years ago with a similar hurricane path and Sovereign ended up going into Nassau on the way home for 4 hours to hit a foreign port. The hurricane had gone over Nassau and had moved on.

Matthew has been upgraded to category 5, winds 150 mph. That is a deadly serious hurricane. Heading for Jamaica and Cuba.

Here is what Marc Walker posted on Facebook this evening

 

"Getting ready for our mystery cruise on Monday! Planning 10 sets of compasses for any eventuality. I'm sworn to secrecy until Monday as nobody can predict where Matthew will hit and when. Prayers going out for all affected in the Caribbean.

One thing is for sure, we will stay away from it.

This will be an interesting cruise to say the least, Now we can play where can Majesty go?

Driving down tomorrow from upstate SC to go out Monday on the Majesty. One concern I have is the affect Matthew may have on Friday when we get back to PC.
