Shuttle or private car

We are a party of four adults sailing out of Los Angeles. We arrive at LAX around 9:30 am on a Saturday and will be heading directly to the port. I am NOT a fan of the shuttles and when sailing out of Port Canaveral we have always rented a private car and shared the expense with other cruisers.

 

Does anyone have any recommendations for a private car service? We have never sailed from that port and would appreciate all the feedback we can get. TIA!

I would agree Uber would be awesome and you can usually get like $20 or $30 off when signing up

I also have used ontime1.com many times, and highly recommend them. I refuse to ride in shuttles.:)

Super Shuttle's Execucar service will charge you $62 (plus tip) for a private vehicle for four passengers with their "express" service (express meaning that you call them when you have your luggage and they meet you at the curb)... It's actually cheaper than they charge for four in a shared shuttle...

 

Uber is likely cheaper (the estimate for an UberXL from LAX to the pier is $51-66) ...but...The benefit of Execucar over Uber is that you have a set price, so you won't end up with the "surge" pricing you sometimes get with Uber, nor will you risk the unavailability issue that sometimes springs up at LAX...

ontime1.com usually charges $55 for a town car, and $70 for an Escalade, Yukon or Suburban. For 4 people I would choose one of the SUV's for $70.:)
