But there was still one more Bingo game left and this was the BIG one. It was a full-board cover game (my fave because they last longer). And if we managed to cover one in 47 (can't remember if it was 47 or 48) numbers or less, the jackpot was either $20,000 or $25,000. I can't remember, probably because it didn't matter as no one won it. :(

I was not doing badly on a couple of mine though, so I was still holding out hope for winning the regular jackpot. Would you believe, a few numbers later and I was a Stander? :p Me! This hadn't happened more than once in the three days I played. Yes, the boos were for ME this time! All I needed was one more number, and OMG...BINGO!

I kid you not, I WON! It was totally SURREAL! Especially when Constantine announced HOW MUCH. Are you ready for this?

$1126!

OMG, a gal came out with a piece of paper that she told me to take to the Cashier in the Casino. Well, first I had to go find Husband who was hanging out at the Martini Bar, so I could tell him what he had just missed! :p

It still didn't seem real, so we went to the Cashier and it became real alright!

Apparently this really CAN happen:

To say it was icing on the cake, is putting it mildly. Very exciting (I was seriously shaking), and I was (am) super appreciative! It means we now have a terrific head start on a future cruise! :D Where to go next time? It'll be so much fun investigating the possibilities!

Feeling lucky and grateful, we headed back to our cabin to put all of that in the safe!

This time we could see something in addition to water.

What was that in the distance? Another ship?

Back to reality though. We had to PACK. :( And boy we didn't realize how much we had accumulated in the last two and a half weeks! Fortunately we were flying Southwest from Fort Lauderdale, or it would have been some expensive luggage to get home. :o

Dutifully and with some sadness, we placed our bags outside our door and went off to our last dinner :(

We were happy that the menu looked good tonight!

We said our goodbyes to the fabulous dining room staff, and showed our gratitude with a little extra gratuity. There was one more we wanted to track down to thank who had been our Assistant Waiter early on in the cruise several times. He also worked in Tuscany Grill and had made it a point to visit us when we had our night there. What a super nice guy!

I was finally able to fill out my comment sheet and turn it in to Guest Relations!

Congratulations on your big win! What a fabulous way to end a vacation. I have really enjoyed your "cruise in review". Makes me really look forward to our TA next year. Would be interested to know where your next cruise will take you.

Off to the Silhouette Theater we went for the last time. We had spent a lot of time in this Theater, and how exciting that we were finally going to see Pearl!

We figured, why not see it up close? After all, front row seats are the same price in this theater as the back of the balcony! ;)

We enjoyed it very much. It was well worth the wait, and what a great show to end the entertainment with!

Thank you Jane! It was indeed a fabulous way to end it. Made paying that final bill on the ship a lot less painful. :p I am so excited for you that you have a TA to look forward to! I'm interested to know where our next cruise will take us also. :D It will probably happen sooner than it would have otherwise thanks to this wonderful luck!

The long walk back to our Cabin for our last night on the ship was a sobering sight :(

And our balcony view was another dark one:

Coming up, I will share our last morning, getting off the ship, and Fort Lauderdale. Also I will circle back around to the beginning for anyone who might be interested in Rome. And talk a bit about planning, in the hope that it will help someone, because that was the most intimidating part to me!

Lori,

This has been so fabulous. I've thoroughly enjoyed it, and you can imagine how much it helps me look forward to embarkation day for me next Sunday. Also, I enjoyed Silhouette last January, so I've been looking at it from two perspectives: remembering and anticipating.

Congratulations on that great win in Bingo! You did allude to it just a tad. That's called a tease in journalism, I believe? and you did it superbly.

Kudos on having just such a perfect sense of humor and tone to your writing. Truly a gift. I hope you'll go on to post a review here on CC.com, and when you do, here are my tips: write it in word or notepad or someplace, so you can edit it, and then click on Write Your Review and copy/paste it. Decide ahead of time which photos you'd like to share (which will be very difficult, for sure, since you have SO many great ones). After you do the entire review, they will give you a specific place to describe the cabin, and then the ports. Perhaps you already know all of this from previous cruising.

And now I must thank you so very much for telling me that John Grantham is still a Celebrity CD! He is one of our all-time favorites, from 30 cruises. I hope he'll be with us when we board next Sunday.

Enjoy the rest of December and 2016!

Just had to post to say: what a fun review!

I was on the cruise too, and you made me feel (in a good way) that I had missed SO MUCH on the cruise! I tend to be a "read, relax, eat, and listen to an occasional speaker or see an occasional evening show" kind of cruiser, and wow was there a lot of fun stuff I didn't do! I guess I'll have to do another transatlantic so I can catch up on the activities. :)

(Oh, and I completely agree on the alleged pad thai. I even mentioned it on the online questionnaire after the cruise. If they were going to make it not taste like pad thai they could have at least made it taste good...)

It was a wonderful cruise, wasn't it? :)

Once again Lori. Thank you for a wonderful review of our T/A of last month. I'm really sorry that we didn't get a chance to meet you and DH. You folks really seem to enjoy your cruise to the max! :) So happy that you were able to come away a winner at bingo. What a way to end your cruise. Have a wonderful Holiday Season and a Happy New Year!

Thank you May for your kind words and for the excellent advice for posting a review on the review site here. That is a great idea. When I've attempted reviews before, it messed up on me and I didn't start over. Am very much still learning, so any and all advice is always appreciated!

So excited for you getting to board Sunday. It'll be here before you know it! I am sorry to have to tell you though that John Grantham did get off in Fort Lauderdale. He said he was "taking a break". For how long, I don't know.

Than you so very much! It's funny because looking back over all the Celebrity Today's in writing this, I feel like WE missed a lot! In previous cruises, for instance, we always made it to more of the game stuff. This time all we made it to was a few trivias.

And THANK YOU for validating my tastebuds about that darn pad thai. :p

I am happy to report I have already had a couple wonderful encounters with excellent Thai since I've been home. That being said, I'd be happy to be right back on that ship eating anything else. :D

And yes, oh so wonderful!

Amazing review! Now I'm inspired to write one after our April 16 Western Caribbean cruise in 2017!

Thank you Slemteacher, makes me really happy to know I could have inspired someone to share their experiences as well...I hope you do and look forward to reading it! Take some good food porn too, okay? ;)

Thank YOU for more kind words. You have helped keep me going through the way-longer-than-I-expected-time to do this! We did try to max it out, but also did have some time for reading, journal writing, staring at the ocean and sitting by the pool. Might have even had a nap or two. ;)

Hope you have a wonderful Holiday Season and Happy New Year as well! I will say that this time of year has always been difficult for me job-wise being such a super-commercial and super-busy time, but having a REAL vacation right before has helped me be relaxed enough to actually enjoy it this year! :D

Thank you Kaye! I am still super excited about it, especially to have it as a big start toward our next we-don't-know-what-yet! :D

Very very happy for you on your win as well. You chose wisely on where to spend your winnings!
