What is the difference in a balcony room and mini suite on Escape?

Looking at booking on NCL for the first time and confused about the difference in a regular balcony room and a mini suite. We will have 2 adults and 2 kids. Will the kids have to share the sofa bed or will there be a pull down bed for 1 of them?

Not sure if they have mini suites that have a pull down bed. Our mini suite just had a couch that opened. Only difference, like the poster said before me, was the larger bathroom.

Mini-suites that sleep 4 have a pull-man.

Mini-suites that sleep 3 don't have a pull-man.

The difference in sq footage of the room is literally the bathroom. You get a double sink" with a large shower (vs normal tiny cruise ship shower).

 

If you have 4 people, you Will only be allowed to select a room rated for 4 people (look for the Plus Sign symbol on the deck plan).
