aaaaa Posted January 28, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 28, 2017 Does anyone know when the Riviera is scheduled for its next drydock/refurbishment?
arima22 Posted January 29, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2017 If you do a search on this board you will find a thread from about 2 months ago on the topic- I believe it was decided that a period in April 2018 was designated for dry dock/refurbishing. It was done last about the same time in 2015.

Rare LHT28 Posted September 20, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 20, 2017 We are sailing on riveria May 25 ... does that mean a nice new ship??? or a change to another ship!!! It will look refreshed if the refurb was before your sailing Unless you were on her prior to drydock then you will not notice a difference
Hambagahle Posted September 20, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 20, 2017 2015 Rivier went to drydock in Marseilles after we got off in Barcelona. I assume the same pattern will hold.
AZjohn Posted September 20, 2017 #6 Share Posted September 20, 2017 I don't see any itineraries between April 11 and April 21 in Barcelona. Guess that would be when going into dry dock or someone chartered the ship. Cheers, John
potterhill Posted September 21, 2017 #7 Share Posted September 21, 2017 We are booked on the April 2019 TA to Barcelona. For us , that 3 days makes a difference. Not sure how we'll deal with it. Lots of time to figure it out. Mo Sent from my iPhone using Forums
106f Posted September 23, 2017 #8 Share Posted September 23, 2017 On Riviera sailng toward Palermo. I haven't done the rusty bolt search that some of you do but I would say she is spotless. What would you hope for in dry dock?
Fam_Cruise Posted February 20, 2018 #9 Share Posted February 20, 2018 Based on schedules I would guess Barcelona April 16-26, 2019.
Skyring Posted March 4, 2018 #10 Share Posted March 4, 2018 Not April 2018. https://www.oceaniacruises.com/Mediterranean-cruises/barcelona-to-barcelona-RVA180411/
Hambagahle Posted March 5, 2018 #11 Share Posted March 5, 2018 On Riviera sailng toward Palermo. I haven't done the rusty bolt search that some of you do but I would say she is spotless. What would you hope for in dry dock? We were on Riviera in November last year. Everything was impeccable. Similarly, we were on Riviera on a Trans Atlantic cruise in 2015 and she went into dry dock right after we disembarked. Everything then was impeccable. But I know that during the drydock they ripped out a lot of carpeting, repainted a lot of places and cleaned the hull. The maintenance these ships have is impressive! Bootman4U Posted May 5, 2018 #12 Share Posted May 5, 2018 Why did they rip out something which was impeccable?
StanandJim Posted May 5, 2018 #13 Share Posted May 5, 2018 Why did they rip out something which was impeccable? Obviously, you have never worked with a Decorator ;p
The A Train Posted May 5, 2018 #14 Share Posted May 5, 2018 So, what happened to the April 2018 drydock, and, now, when is it scheduled?
aaaaa Posted May 5, 2018 Author #15 Share Posted May 5, 2018 There's a 10-day sailing gap beginning on April 16, 2019, in Barcelona.
kitty9 Posted May 5, 2018 #16 Share Posted May 5, 2018 So, what happened to the April 2018 drydock, and, now, when is it scheduled? When we were on board Riviera last month, I was booking another cruise and asked the Club Ambassador when Riviera was going into dry dock and she said it was supposed to be this April, but because another ship had more pressing needs, Riviera wasn't going into dry dock until April, 2019.
