JaniceB Posted April 11, 2017 #28 Share Posted April 11, 2017 Key West was our 1st stop and we LOVED it! We had been before but this time we wanted something WILD and crazy! Well... we got it! We went through Key West Extreme Adventures and FED SHARKS! Wow... It was incredible! On this installment are LOTS of pictures and videos! Let me know if you have any questions! KEY WEST INSTALLMENT http://chrisandkelliedavis.blogspot.com/2017/03/living-dream-key-west.html Never heard of this excursion sounds awesome. Happy Anniversay! Love the steak house. StAlbert4 Posted April 11, 2017 #29 Share Posted April 11, 2017 Just left Key West after doing the Pub Crawl tour from the ship. Wonderful time had by all. Just needed a little nap afterwards when we got back..
toosaxykk Posted April 12, 2017 Author #30 Share Posted April 12, 2017 That is very helpful. Thank you! I'm sure we'll end up trying RC at some point as we won't have a lot of opportunity to cruise out of ports that aren't nearby. Since my sister lives in Biloxi, we will probably eventually cruise out of Port Canaveral, and I learned (just recently) that Jacksonville is easily within driving distance from her, so I've planned a surprise New Years cruise for dh and myself. :) And I am SUPER easy to please when it comes to cruising, so it would be surprising if I ever thought I had a bad cruise. ETA: Saw from your "sea day installment" that you guys had Chris as your CD. Isn't he THE BEST??? YES YES YES... We loved Chris Williams! Favorite CD thus far! toosaxykk Posted April 12, 2017 Author #32 Share Posted April 12, 2017 Sea Days are the BEST days! Sea Day #2 was spent lounging around the Lanai and other lido areas AND enjoying a MASSIVE amount of delicious food! Another great day on the DREAM! http://chrisandkelliedavis.blogspot.com/2017/04/living-dream-sea-day-2.html
toosaxykk Posted April 12, 2017 Author #33 Share Posted April 12, 2017 SeaDay #3... We were CLAM SHELL HOGS! Now... We did do it the RIGHT way. Meaning we did not just put stuff on the chair and leave. Oh no... we literally laid in this clamshell for 9 hours. We woke up early and got to a clamshell before 7:30AM and then didn't leave until after 5PM. It was literally one of the best days at sea EVER! Not a long post but still some tips and tricks! I REALLY appreciate everyone following along! I LOVE helping y'all get pics and tips and tricks! I LOVE cruising so much and blogging just allows me to relive it again, and again, and again! Please let me know if you have any other questions! In my signature are the other cruises we have been on too! toosaxykk Posted April 13, 2017 Author #36 Share Posted April 13, 2017 Disembarkation in New Orleans, LA. This was a somewhat smooth process. It DID seem a little unorganized but in the long run it was fine! We LOVED the DREAM and I honestly hope we can sail again on her in the future. Thanks!!! No... it is ONLY open SeaDay 12-2:30pm. Go the 1st SeaDay before people know it's there and draws a crowd! Either way you WONT be disappointed. JAMST3RZ Posted April 16, 2017 #40 Share Posted April 16, 2017 I think it is completely ridiculous you are encouraging people to break the rules and drop off their luggage early yet you are probably one of those people who call out carnival for not enforcing their rules, you also say one of you teach - Setting a great example, not. Yvonne Posted May 4, 2017 #46 Share Posted May 4, 2017 I think it is completely ridiculous you are encouraging people to break the rules and drop off their luggage early yet you are probably one of those people who call out carnival for not enforcing their rules, you also say one of you teach - Setting a great example, not. Sent from my iPhone using Forums[/url I wondered if anyone else felt this way, as I did too when I started reading the OP's review. I couldn't believe she blatantly broke the rules when she knew she wasn't supposed to. And then I read she's a teacher. Wow! I couldn't continue reading the review after that. The OP and others like her is one of the reasons some of the ports are not giving out your sign 'n sail cards until AFTER the rooms are ready. When the big doors are opened, at the proper time AFTER the room stewards have finished their cleaning, you find your cards in the mailbox by your door and you CANNOT get into your room until that time. I doubt they would have started doing that if some people didn't do what the OP did. I doubt it will be long before ALL the ports will be doing this, in order to stop people from dropping their bags off in their room before the room is ready. Yes, it's a bit bothersome to have to carry your carry-on luggage with you until the rooms are ready. But the room stewards are trying to get their job done and they don't need people like the OP doing what they know they're not supposed to and getting in the room stewards' way.
