New York sail

I would like to spend a few days in New York, then sail down the East Coast of America towards Florida. Does anyone know of any cruise liners that do this itinerary, or can recommend any.

Crystal has such an itinerary, but be aware that, due to US regulations, it must visit at least one port in South America. This means there will likely be numerous port calls in the Caribbean as well as Cartagena, Colombia and/or some of the ABC islands.

This would be true regardless of cruise line as none fly the US flag.

RCCL Anthem of the Seas sails roundtrip from Bayonne NJ to San Juan, St. Maarten, Antigua, Martinique, Barbados, St. Kitts

If you don't mind starting in Quebec, you can go from there to Ft. Lauderdale in October 2018 on Royal Caribbean's Adventure of the Seas.

If you mean from NY to another US city, that is not allowed by the PVSA ruling. You'd need to start in a Canadian port since PVSA doesn't allow embarking in US port and disembarking in a different US port unless a distant foreign port has been visited.

Preferably starting New York and finishing Florida. With living in Manchester England would make it easier to arrange flights. But doing it the other way round wouldn't be a problem.

As mentioned, generally, that would be illegal. You need to stop at a "distant" foreign port. This might occur in a repositioning cruise- so once a year, but still require that distant foreign port.

Hello,

You do have a couple other options that somewhat meet your desires. A couple times a year you can find repositioning cruises from NY to Puerto Rico, or vice versa...if you can get to SanJuan by the 22 of this month, you can do the Celebrity Summit to NY !

American Cruise Lines...small 100 or so passenger vessels...has itineraries that go from Baltimore to Florida, or vice versa...stopping at many interesting US East Coast cities.

This cruise is New York to Charleston, SC:

This is out of Charleston, but it does go down to Florida and terminates there:

Maybe you could do the New York to Charleston and then Charleston to Florida cruises together?

This cruise is Baltimore Maryland to Jacksonville, FL

If time (and money!) is not a problem have you thought about pushing the boat out (sorry) and sail to New York on the Queen Mary 2? You could then have a few days in NY before embarking on what ever ship you decide upon.

Check out American Cruise Lines - being US flagged they do not need the foreign port stop. They have itineraries from Baltimore, MD (easy three hour train trip from New York), making calls at small coastal towns in Virginia, North and South Carolina, and Georgia before ending at Amelia Island (Jacksonville) Florida.
