Casino points!!!!

Insert your S&S into the machine. Set up a players bank.

Slots are 1 point for every $2.50 through the machine.

Video poker is one point for every $5.00 through the machine

Tables you present your S&S card and are rated.

When you reach 1000 points on a 5 day or less cruise or 1500 points on cruises 6 days or more you get a drinks on us (DOU) card. This allows you to have complimentary drinks while playing in the casino. There is a 15 drink per day limit and if you have Cheers you can not combine the two programs. 15 drinks only in any combination.

5000 points give you the DOU on your next cruise.

Points do not accumulate from cruise to cruise.

Perks are at the discretion of the casino personnel. Usually I get cookies at 2500 points and a bottle of wine after that. Other perks include spa treatment, steakhouse selections or steakhouse meals Again, none of this is set in stone.

There are also bounce back offers which are cruises that you only pay the taxes and port fee. These are awarded on the next to or last night. Each cruise is allowed to give out a certain number of these BB offers. It is usually based on the number of points. They start with the first qualified person with the most points and make there way down the list.

I always suggest play for the entertainment not for the perks. That said you don't want to stop playing with 4990 points when $25 more play would qualify you for a DOU card next sailing.

At Tables Games you need to ask the pit boss to rate your play to get points, Don't know how much you have to spend to get points. Slots and Video poker points are earned at different rates VP is 1 point is earned and about $1.75

most people don't earn enough points to get anything as you have to spend a lot of money. If Springs is correct 1 pt for $2.50, you have to spend $6250 to get cookies. My wife and I play $10-$25 blackjack and penny to quarter slots a couple of hours a night. They did buy us one round of drinks which was a total surprise. To get a free cruise you have to be a "player"

We get all the goodies and my other half since we cruise twice a year on Carnival he gets the drinks on us card the first day in the casino, but this year we had to cancel next months cruise which means, our next Carnival cruise is in October does that mean if we cruise Carnival later than a year we loose all our perks and he has to start all over accumulating his points to get the perks?

Just to clarify, you have to risk $6,250, not spend it. Some of the time you win, and then bet those winnings, which counts toward the goal.

I play $20/hand at the Texas Hold'em table but hit quads (pays 40-1), pocket aces (pays 25-1) and straight flush (pays 50-1) from time to time. This last cruise I played every night for 3 - 4 hours and won a free seven day cruise based on the "avg. bet x time gambling" formula. I estimate the free cruise value at $1,500, but I only lost $450. Of course this gets me back on the ship risking more, sooner than I would have had I not won the free cruise. There are others who get back-to-back free cruises, it's kind of like a sub-culture in the casino. And I'm all about culture. :D

I agree with Intrepid. And Springs has it down pretty good.

It's time spent at the tables x size of bet. And not how much you lose, but how much you play.

For example, I was on my Dec 2016 sailing, played about 3-4 hrs per day/night and I bet between $44-60 a shooter on the craps table. I bet a progessive strategy and won about $600 for the week. Of couse, that got me a BB offer (was also lucky enough to win the drawing for the free cruise for 2, last night in the casino).

Went on the Glory in February with the BB offer. Did the same, though this time lost about $400 for the week. Did not get another BB offer because (I think) had the Breeze (free drawing cruise) booked for April.

Well, did the Breeze in April, played about the same hours, won about $550 for the week and got anohter BB offer (which BTW, can't use, no more time to fit it in).

So moral of the story- you can win or you can lose and still get an offer. It's not that you paid for the free cruise. It's more that you worked for it. I have often thought of gambling as a job, not a hobby.

As I posted earlier points do not accumulate. If you are referring to the DOU card waiting for you if you earned 5000 points on your previous cruise, I know it is good for at least two years. I have a dear friend that only cruises every other February. He always earns well over 5000 and often earns a BB but because of job and family can only cruise every other year.
