donaldsc Posted August 9, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 9, 2017 (edited) I have just tried to register for the Meet and Greet on my upcoming Azamara cruise. I went to the Azamara WEB site and then to the Meet and Mingle Parties page. As is normal, it asks for my reservation ID and then also my name, the ship name which on a drop down list and the sail date. Azamara IT personnel do not seem to realize that the reservation ID is a unique identifier and the other information should be needed. This is not my beef however as I have complained about this Azamara IT idiocy before. My problem is that when I go through all the steps including clicking on the ship name from the drop down list, I get an error message that says "please enter a valid ship name". Azamara has only 2 ships. I clicked on the ship name from a drop down list. I did not type it in myself. Interestingly enough, when I go onto the right side of the Meet and Mingle page which is the Search for a Party option and click on the ship name and enter the cruise date, it tells me that there are 34 guests registered for the Meet and Mingle. Apparently the IT staff at Azamara does not even know the names of their own ships. Or else, they have a severe case of right-hand left-hand syndrome. Grandma Cruising Posted August 9, 2017 #2 Share Posted August 9, 2017 Strange - I just went through the process from the Azamara website and had no problems - when I entered all my details, it took me through to the page where you say which guests want to register. 5waldos Posted August 9, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 9, 2017 I had the same problem but discovered it had registered me anyway. Oh well
rallydave Posted August 9, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 9, 2017 Painfully obvious the people they hire either in house or outhouse (pun intended) are toward the bottom of the IT pool. Said months ago that they hire low paid fresh outs and other lower paid people and Bonnie quickly denied that was true. And, based on many recent issues, if she is correct, the people they are hiring are not worth whatever they are paid. Simply way too many obvious errors that we, the customers have to identify as their "Beta" testers and QC. Amazingly I was knocked off the email list several times and appears the latest effort to add me back in has taken but, even though we are Explorer, haven't seen a LeClub quarterly bulletin in over a year. Get the promos in single emails and assume they are all of them but, certainly can't tell but, do know I don't get the Le Club mailings. Just how difficult is it to have an email list that doesn't arbitrarily drop paying customers from the email list??.
Globehoppers Posted August 11, 2017 #5 Share Posted August 11, 2017 Over the past 4-5 years Azamara, whose website is managed by RCCL, has improved a bit. However, it is still horrible. Maybe its designed by IT specialists for IT specialists. Better if it was designed for those of us who want information and reservations on Azamara. Inoperative links, "crashing," and poorly designed pages are common. Heck, it would be a vast improvement if they simply added a visible "button" for those of us already with reservations. IT Managers: hint: design it to be user friendly!
Grandma Cruising Posted August 11, 2017 #6 Share Posted August 11, 2017 Maybe I have been lucky so far, but I have come across very few problems when using the website. The issues I have had have been in relation to the My Azamara section, but have found the rest very useable. lisiamc Posted August 11, 2017 #7 Share Posted August 11, 2017 I will say that, although it's far from perfect, I have a much easier time with Azamara's website than I do with Celebrity's. I just get nowhere with that one.
