nhtravels Posted August 18, 2017 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2017 We are going on the Escape in November. It's our first cruise since the kids were young and our first experience on NCL. DH booked us in the spa mini-suite (probably knowing I will be frequenting the spa). Is it worth it to try and upgrade to the Haven spa suite? We'd be the only cabin of the 5 booked to upgrade to the Haven. I know we are going to love cruising. I'm afraid that if I my first NCL experience is the Haven, I'll never be able to go back! Loonbeam Posted August 18, 2017 #3 Share Posted August 18, 2017 Look at the price. That said, since you would be the only ones in the Haven, would you want to be separated from the rest of your group that much OR be unable to take advantage of the amenities you will be paying for? Rare BirdTravels Posted August 18, 2017 #4 Share Posted August 18, 2017 Watch the price of the room. On a Breakaway cruise a couple of months ago, it was cheaper for us to pay the difference in price and book the Havens Spa vs. fussing with the upgrade advantage bid. AND,,,, by doing so, we got all of the perks (instead of just 2). Remember, a mini-suite is a regular room (it is NOT a suite) with no benefits. It is just a regular balcony room with a bigger bathroom on the Escape.
