Kinda confused. What should they offer. Those on board had a 10 day cruise instead of 7. With discounts after 7 days.

Is that what they did? It wasn't made clear. Those who wanted to get off early could but those who wanted to stay could go until clear?

We were on the September 3rd cruise on allure of the sea. After the 7th night we received 50% off cocktails, all specialty restaurants & wifi. Also we were not charged daily gratuity's. We thought it was a great deal.

Seems like a good deal, we know someone on this cruise also, be curious to see what they thought

I don't think anyone could get off. They never came back to port everglades till today.

You can leave just about any sailing at a port (assuming there's no PVSA violation) with some planning and request to RCI. About 150 left the Oasis cruise early.

Also off the 9/3 sailing. Was a great time and the ship did an amazing job. For those complaining, you got three extra days at a free hotel with complimentary food and heavily discounted amenities as opposed to returning to a disaster zone.

Roughly 400 people left the sailing early and they had maybe 500-800 no shows.

There were passengers that got off the allure in Jamaica & Cozumel. Apparently those passengers couldn't wait until Wednesday (work, family etc) great they were able to leave at a port of call & fly to their destination

Sure seems above and beyond to me. Sounds like the OP read the New York Post story written by a reporter complaining about paying for bottled water and internet on the Escape. The horrors ! The comments pretty much put her in her place.

We were on this cruise and cannot say enough good things about how RC handled the situation. We were informed, waited on hand and foot, stayed safe and had a ton of fun. The 3 bonus days were so nice. In addition, they offered anyone currently on the 7 (read 10) day cruise a deal to stay on for the rest of the week for $199!!!!! So basically we got a TWO WEEK CRUISE for cost of one plus $199. The ship had around 2200 passengers and 2300 staff. We've never seen one that empty and it was fantastic. No waits for elevators, no lines for shows, Windjammer, no chair saving ..... lucky to have been on this one. RC had a party for staff one night. Remember they had lost revenue personally as fewer passengers=fewer gratuities. We would book again during hurricane season! Didn't pre-book any excursions and that was good, but folks who had got $$$ back (not in credit but actually refunded)

The 9/10 cruise sailed late on 9/13. Option was 100% FCC if you didn't sail, 50% OBC

and 50% FCC if you did. We had 2058 people onboard. They closed Silk restaurant

one night due to lack of customers. MTD had around 100 customers (and maybe 150

wait staff) up until about 7 PM every evening. They let half the staff come in at 7:30

and half worked the early shift after the first night.

Easiest debark we have ever seen. Group 19 was due at 8:15 and called at 7:45.

No lines, with about 8 customs stations open and 3 people in line. Didn't want to

see passport app. Walked out, got cab and were at the FLL gate at 8:20.

Have already received the refundable OBC back in credit card and it paid for the 9/3

cruise. So far only have credit for 7 days for the 10 day cruise and none yet for the 4.
