Looks like they'll be starting on Breeze as we debark our Thanksgiving cruise. Better get off early, if DW sees this, she'll get the Christmas Bug and we'll be decorating when we get home 6 hrs later!

We cruised the Fascination in 2010 and it was decorated the first week of December. It was an unexpected treat, but one that we appreciated, and I know we will enjoy it again this year on the Elation. The kids camp put on a Holiday show, and they sang both Christmas carols and Hannakah songs, and then the staff came in bearing battery operated candles and sang Silent Night. Regardless of your religious beliefs I found this beyond touching-humoring the tourists, while they are basically thousands of mile from home and family. Christmas is not a made up holiday, but the history of the "church" blending it's belief with those of the pagans who celebrated solstice. What the 20th century did to this holiday was to commercialize it into a monetary holiday. Prices are high over this holiday to make up for the fact that staff is working on a holiday. Maybe the guy who does laundry isn't celebrating, but he is being asked to work on a holiday that is recognized through out the world. And remember the best part of Christmas is not the getting but the giving.:)

We just debarked yesterday from the Inspiration. Our 4 year old Grandson's 1st cruise and our 1st family cruise. There were eight in our party for this cruise. I'm so happy we chose to sail during Christmas time. The ship was beautifully decorated and we really enjoyed the Christmas celebrations on the ship. The Christmas show with kids in the main showroom was everything I hoped it would be and more. Our Grandson loved going up on stage and being a part of it. He really enjoyed his 1st cruise. He was telling the crew "thank you".. saying "goodbye cruise ship" , "I love you" and "I'll miss you" as we debarked.
