papaflamingo Posted October 14, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 14, 2017 We are taking our first Regents cruise Nov. 1,2018 from Honolulu to Sydney. We are so excited for this "bucket list" cruise! So, here's my question. We are in Papeete for 2 days. When I book excursions, can we book 2 excursions (if available) in a port? Thanks
Travelcat2 Posted October 14, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 14, 2017 You can book as many excursions as you have time for. If booking two in the same day there needs to be around 1 1/2 - 2 hours between excursions (not 100% certain of the time in between - it could be 2 hours). Excursions that take you away from Papeete by boat may be easier as the traffic on the island is horrendous. Sounds like a great itinerary! cwn Posted October 14, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 14, 2017 The booking system will automatically bock you from booking tours less than 90 apart. If 90 minutes or more apart, you can book two for the day. We have several days with 2 tours on our Jan cruise. One set of tours are exactly 90 minutes apart. This is all explained when you go to book on line. Book as soon as you can. Those Papeete tours go fast! If the tour you want is already full, call Regent and get on the waitlist ASAP. We had to waitlist for two in Papeete and were cleared after about 6 weeks. Enjoy your cruise!
Rare ronrick1943 Posted October 14, 2017 #4 Share Posted October 14, 2017 Two tours a day sound good, but give yourself time to enjoy the ship and the cruise.
papaflamingo Posted October 23, 2017 Author #5 Share Posted October 23, 2017 Thanks all for the comments. I know the cruise is a year away, but I'm just having a great time anticipating it! Been reading all I can about the different ports and what I want to do most. I don't think I've ever been this excited about a cruise!
Rare RachelG Posted October 23, 2017 #6 Share Posted October 23, 2017 We did two excursions on several days of our French Polynesia cruise. It is easier to do 2 a day there because distances are far the most post not very far--so no 2 hour bus rides anywhere--and most of the excursions are half day or less. We had a great time. I echo the advice to book them as soon as booking opens. If you go to your account on rssc.com, you will see the date where they are open to book.
