cruisingchaggers Posted October 17, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 17, 2017 Hello. We will be on the New Zealand to Australia cruise in November and have some questions for those who have cruised here before. Any hotel recommendations for New Zealand for one day (we will be arriving a day before to see Auckland)? Any recommendations on what to see, etc. while in Auckland? Thank you, in advance! Any recommendations for shore excursions (or ones to avoid!) are appreciated too!

jspqld Posted October 17, 2017 #3 Share Posted October 17, 2017 Consider the Stamford Hotel in Auckland. Just up the road from the cruise terminal. And while there some good half day trips would be to the museum/war memorial and the Zoo.

Wow it must have gone up a lot. We stayed there a couple of years ago for 5 nights and a standard room was only about $200NZ per night. We liked the area as it was in a good part of the city, only a few minutes walk to the harbour and places to eat and closeby to public transport as well. roxyandbailey Posted October 18, 2017 #9 Share Posted October 18, 2017 We are looking at a tour in Hobart that would include Tasmanian Devil Unzoo or Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Which one is better?
