When I saw this post I thought that this person must live close to me. When I looked at your city I saw it was true - we are on the east side of Raleigh :p

[emoji2][emoji2][emoji2][emoji2]. I dread what Mother Nature has in store for us tomorrow. Especially because I will be running around doing last minute pre-cruise errands. I hate winter weather.

After nine hours of driving we were ready for some breakfast so we stopped at the Cracker Barrel, Patti’s favorite place, in Santee, South Carolina…..

So glad to see another review of yours Jeff! I am playing catchup, but enjoying the review so far! Going on the Magic for the first time in June 2018, so really enjoying the early "vacation" tagging along with y'all. I wish I would have know y'all were stopping in Santee, it is about an hour from where I live. Least I could have done was buy y'all breakfast to repay you and Patti for all the great reviews and pictures over the years!

We have to drive to Wilmington tomorrow for our son's pinning/hooding ceremony. He's getting his Nurse Practitioner degree. Hoping to be home before we get anything! I will say that I enjoy snow, but not driving in it.

Day # 18 - Nassau, Bahamas ( 8am to 5pm) - 10/24/17.

We were up a little after 7am just as the Carnival Elation was docking in Nassau. It looks like it’s going to be another beautiful day. Here are today’s Fun Times…..

We have been to Nassau so many times we have lost count. Instead of just staying on the ship we look for an All-Inclusive property to enjoy. This one is fairly new having just begun operation in November of 2016.

Warwick Paradise Island Bahamas – Nassau

All Inclusive Luxury Resort (ages 18+)

Price listed is per person.

Total Price: $96.75

Deposit Required: $18.00

Balance due to resort upon arrival: $78.75

Resort Description:

Come spend your day in port at this brand new, 4-star, deluxe all-inclusive, adults only resort. The Warwick Paradise Island Bahamas offers the ambiance of a private escape for those seeking a modern, relaxed, and intimate resort. The Warwick rests along, and overlooks, beautiful Nassau Harbour and the Atlantic Ocean inlet, with views of Nassau and Paradise Island. Enjoy a private harbour-front beach bordered by a calm crystal clear snorkeling lagoon where both tanning and beach volleyball may be enjoyed. Sunbathe by a large freshwater 330,000 gallon free-form pool. Resort is adults only, ages 18+; except for March, April and June travel when guests are required to be at least 21.

The All Inclusive Experience:

Our Resort for a Day pass includes dining & drinks!! Enjoy an extensive selection of local and international options at The Verandah buffet or a casual meal at the pool side pizzeria and grill. Frozen cocktails and tropical drinks are available at your choice of two bars; including the beach side "Hog Bar". Try everything, and feel free to come back for more - It’s all included!

Getting There:

Taxi service is easy to get at the cruise ship terminal; the resort is a convenient 10-15 minute drive from the cruise pier and the taxi fare is about $15 total for the first two people in the taxi, $3 each additional guest. Although the cruiseport is nearby, we always suggest you depart the resort 2 hours prior to your ship’s scheduled departure time.

How it Works:

Purchasing your Resort for a Day shore excursion day pass is simple. Make your online purchase and your resort passes are emailed to you within the same day. Simply print your passes and bring them with you on your trip. Passes are required upon check-in at the resort. Resort For a Day Passes can be purchased up until the day before you are in port. However, availability is very limited, so book early to secure your space.

Cancellation Policy: Day Pass Deposits are refundable up to 11 days before your cruise ship departure date, and fully refundable if your cruise ship is unable to dock in Nassau during your cruise. Passes are valid rain or shine, but if you decide to not visit the resort, you would not be responsible for the remaining balance due to the resort, but your deposit would be non refundable.

What's Included:

• Your Day pass is valid from 10 AM - 6 PM

• Unlimited dining for lunch and snacks

• Unlimited drinks (alcohol & non alcohol) including premium brand cocktails & wine

• Private beach, pool and whirlpool

• Lounges, umbrellas, towels (no need to bring the ship’s towels)

• Use of snorkeling equipment

• All meals and snacks, plus alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages.

• Free standard Wi-Fi internet access

• Entertainment and activities

• Fully equipped fitness center

• Bocce, beach volleyball, horseshoes & more

• Taxes, levies, energy surcharge, gratuities and 7.5% Value Added Tax included.

What's Not Included:

• Motorized water sports

• Lockers are not available so pack light

• Full service spa & salon (additional cost) / Opening Fall 2016

We enjoyed the rest of the day hanging out in the pool and having a “few” drinks. Around 2pm we decided to dry off and go for lunch at Chickcharnies……

IMG_8329-X2.jpg

We both had burgers and fries, and I also had some conch fritters. All the food was cooked to order and very good.

At 3pm we made our way to the lobby to wait for the taxi we arranged for this morning to show up. After 15 minutes it was obvious that we were forgotten, so we asked the front desk to call us a taxi, which came within minutes. In no time at all we were back at the port…….
