alc13 Posted November 21, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 21, 2017 Can anyone comment on the quality of the sherries sold on board? Particularly the dry(er) ones.
Lanky Lad Posted November 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 21, 2017 Sorry, I can't,but it does remind me of a story from a cocktail party where someone asked for a glass of sherry, and received a glass of cherries.
rsquare Posted November 21, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 21, 2017 I've been quite happy with the range of selections offered in the Carinthia Lounge, but then again I am by no means an expert on sherry. Still, you'll find offerings going well beyond the usual Tio Pepe and Dry Sack in other bars on the ship.

I always love some "Harvey's Bristol Cream" added to a Lobster Bisque or lightly floated onto a nice hot fudge sundae. Bailey's on the sundae is even better! Bailey's on the sundae is even better! Oh, yes, forgot Bristol Cream, usually available elsewhere around the ship. Carinthia Lounge is set up as a sherry bar, with perhaps a dozen different sherries, mostly dry. Never thought of Bristol Cream or Bailey's as a topping for ice cream; I used to adore Creme de Menthe over vanilla ice cream.
Host Hattie Posted November 28, 2017 #7 Share Posted November 28, 2017 There is a link to the Carinthia Lounge menu here, there are several sherries listed. Hopefully there is one you like. https://ask.cunard.com/help/cunard/life-on-board/drink_cost
alc13 Posted November 29, 2017 Author #8 Share Posted November 29, 2017 Thanks Hattie - the sherries look great, as do the ports. Yum.
