No trays on Norwegian and Carnival. Carnival uses a bigger plate, kinda like those big platter type things

Often, the crowds at the buffet stress me out so my family will just bring our trays down to our room or out by the pool area. What do parents with little kids do then?

And where can you buy a tray at home?

 

Try a Wal*Mart Target or large grocery store chain.

Just make sure to score one that is light weight you will be packing it in your checked baggage keep the weight down.

 

Really not all that hard - the only problem once on board is make sure your cabin steward is advised it is your tray.

As noted earlier an alternative to bringing your own tray is order the free continental breakfast and keep the

tray for later use with cooperation from the cabin steward.

I sometimes bring a paper starbucks try for carrying coffee in the morning- works out fine. Never brought a regular tray with us. Seems I might eat too much!! LOL

I do but not for coffee. I will use them during shore excursions to pour bottled water into. That way I don't have to carry a bottle for everyone and/or remember which one is for which person.
