Rare Keith1010 Posted December 7, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 7, 2017 I think that some cruise lines did jump the gun but at the same time many passengers were pushing for changes. It probably was not easy either way. Keith

I think they will be restricting the numbers to start with I doubt very much if they could cope with 4,5 or 6 giants docking on the same day. rooney9 Posted December 7, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted December 7, 2017 Yes I agree, probably three large ships on the same day would stretch their resources,it's a shame I liked St.Martaans and it has been replaced with Tobago.I have been to Trinidad where on getting off the ship we were met by a large group of tourist board members who escorted us into town and told us not to go over the otherside of the road as it was very dangerous, not a nice welcome when you want to walk round on your own and take in the local culture, needless to say I spent twenty minutes on land and then back to the ship.I hope Tobago will not be the same as I like to do my own thing instead of going on organised tours. davecttr Posted December 7, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 7, 2017 Apparently it is one ship per day at the moment and maybe not large ones either. I think the First ship was Viking and the second day Marella
