I wasn't really shaking my head about the toothpaste we forgot in one of our hotels in our travels across Europe until I had to pay ship's prices to replace it. Now instead of one large tube of toothpaste, sunscreen, or what have you I always carry two smaller ones. I pack one in my bag and one in spouses' bag as backup.

The wife and I each pack our own suitcases and run through everything with each other before we go.

So, I don't recall missing anything out when leaving for a trip.

However, I remember heading home from a Las Vegas trip and during a layover at O'Hara Airport, I recalled that I had left my cellphone charging in the hotel room in Las Vegas.

Called the hotel from Chicago and they were kind enough to ship it to my office by UPS.

Very lucky to get it back. ;)

I left a power adaptor in a hotel once, gave it up as lost but the hotel sent it to me without a prompt. Great service.

Got in the car to go to the airport (JFK in NY) only to find when we got to the terminal that our flight was out of LaGuardia... (Who knew, isn't JFK Jet Blue's hub??? :cool: )
