We want to thank everyone for the great information you post here every day. We found these forums just about 6 months ago. During that time, you've taught us a lot.

We apologize for not thanking everyone individually and hope this makes up for that.

You taught us that once a guarantee cabin has been assigned you can request a change to any open cabin in that same category.

That meant last October when we were assigned an obstructed view balcony with a full on view of a lifeboat, we were able to research, on cruisecritic of course, the various types of obstructed view balconies on the Anthem and pick one we liked better. We took one of the port hole in the superstructure cabins, 8514, which left us with a great view while we out on the balcony and that worked great for us.

You taught us to keep checking cruise prices even after booking a cruise.

That meant on our 25th Anniversary cruise next month we were able to upgrade from an obstructed view balcony cabin to a Spa Junior Suite on the hump for about $850 total for the two of us. When we originally booked it, getting the Spa Junior Suite would have cost us $1400 more Each.

It also meant that we were able to reprice two cruises this week and save $390 between lower prices and extra OBC.

We learned that myVegas could be worthwhile. We learned that a cruise reprice opens a new 30 day window to apply myVegas OBC to a cruise.

That means we already have $200 of OBC from it and now that my wife is playing we are hoping for $200 more this month.

You taught us to book excusions, dining, beverage packages and the like in Cruise planner when the price was acceptable and to keep checking to see if the prices dropped.

That meant we have saved over $500 canceling and rebooking things in cruise planner.

You taught us to sign up for the cruise Roll Call and Meet and Mingle.

That means we learned a lot of cruise specific infromation before our October and upcoming cruise.

That also met we met some very nice people on board, had a fun time at a sail away party, meet and mingle and even a group slot pull (we lost a few dollars each, but we've been known to find out way to a casino even without a group).

We learned about discount on board for Chef's Table.

That meant we had an excellent meal in an intimate setting at a price we were comfortable paying.

There are so many people on these boards with lots of cruise experience and are happy to share those experiences. I don't know it all, I am still learning things almost daily. However, I hope I have been able to help people with the information I share. I have learned so much on these boards and it's nice to be able to pay it forward.
