UBER/LYFT wait time Saturday at FLL

Thinking of using Uber or Lyft from FLL on a Saturday (arrival 1p.m.) to South Beach. Will there be difficulties in getting a driver and will there be a long wait?

Every day is going to be different. Not sure how effectively you can predict that sort of thing. On the many threads here discussing Uber and Lyft, wait times have not been complained about.

Typical wait times at FLL reported on this board are usually 5 min or less. As Bruce stated above, your result on the day you need a ride may vary. Have both apps ready and choose the one with the shortest wait.

You can jump on the Uber app at any time and go to your pickup location then see what an estimated wait time is. I have never been to a major airport and had to wait more than a few minutes. The drivers congregate around where the rides (=money) will be. You will have no problems.

As mentioned you won't know for sure but I would not expect much of a wait.

Are you able to catch an uber or lyft right outside the baggage claim area or do you have to go to a different lacation?

From the Uber web site: "Exit on the arrivals level.

Follow the signs to the rideshare pickup area(s). These are located between terminals 1&2 and 3&4 on the innermost curb. This is where all Uber driver-partners at FLL meet travelers for pickup."

The last time we used Uber at FLL. the wait was five minutes.:)
