CruiseMomTX Posted January 21, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2018 We are cruising on the Breeze again in Feb and are thinking of trying self assist debarkation for the first time. The last few times we were on the Breeze we had numbers 15 & 22 and it was around 10:00 before our group was called and we didn't really pay attention when self assist was called. We have a cove balcony on deck 2 so only one flight of stairs to go up. For anyone who has done self assist on the Breeze do you recommend it and at what point do you usually get called to get off? It would be nice to be able to head back home earlier than usual since we can't just stay on the ship for another week, lol. Thanks for any advice or help! bury me at sea Posted January 21, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 21, 2018 We have done self assist debarkation three times off the Breeze, but had FTTF each time. Met in the theatre and were off the ship in very little time. I seem to remember last time we were in our car by 8:30. Hope you enjoy the Breeze as much as we do. cruisemein Posted January 21, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 21, 2018 (edited) Following as my wife and I will be on the Breeze this March. We have a 12:20 flight out of Hobby to catch. I will say that last year we were on the Freedom and self assisted from deck 2. We were sitting at our gate at Hobby at 10:45 for our 1:00 flight. Just hoping the deparkation on the Breeze will be......well.....a breeze! Edited January 21, 2018 by cruisemein spelling
Shaded Lady Posted January 21, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 21, 2018 We did self-debark (no FTTF) last Sept off the Breeze. We were in our car, heading for home before 8:15 (and we still took the time to eat a full breakfast in the MDR before debarking. Just watch how many 'add-on' pieces you have- you might start your cruise with only one suitcase and carry-on each, but by the time the cruise is over, you might find you've got a few extra bags with purchases, plus that huge sombrero you HAD to buy in Cozumel, and all the extra stuff that didn't fit in your suitcase anymore! All that stuff makes self-debark harder, so plan well, make sure your suitcase expands, use a backpack type bag to keep at least 1 hand free.... we planned for this much better this last cruise than the previous one and life was a lot easier getting off the ship. I expanded, arranged, stuffed, to make sure everything we had to take off the ship fit into our 2 rolling suitcases and 2 backpacks.
cb at sea Posted January 22, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 22, 2018 You have to be able to handle ALL of your luggage.....leave when they call for self-disembarkation.

billnict Posted January 24, 2018 #10 Share Posted January 24, 2018 We just got off the Breeze this past Sunday using self-debarkation. We were out of our Deck 7 stateroom by 8:15 and in our Uber headed to Houston Hobby by 9:00 AM. We were schlepping our luggage down the mid-ship stairs headed for a lower floor to hang out until 9:30 when we were supposed to leave per the debarkation process but a management type who was directing traffic on Deck 5 told us to go ahead and leave if we had all our stuff which we did...
