Breakaway disembark time?

The itinerary lists 8am dock time. Just trying to plan.

What time can I expect to be getting off the ship?

If you are using the porters to move your luggage to the terminal, early colors are around 8:45.

 

Self walk off (carrying your own bags) is around 8:00. You have to be able to move your bags through the ship, down the gangway, through the terminal, down the escalators, through the baggage hall, through customs, and out to the curb. There are waaaaayyyyy too many people that have no business doing self walk off struggling with bags during busy disembarkation days.

Disembarkation could begin as early as 7:00 or as late as 9:00. Normally it is on the earlier end, but CBP could throw a monkey wrench any the works at any time.

if you are doing self walk off, and you are ready to go as soon as the announcement is made, we have always been off the ship, thru customs and in our car by 8am with the exception of one time when the ship was stuck on the Hudson.

We disembarked today at around 8:15 and carried our own bags. It was a no hassle breeze. We were out past customs by 8:30. Never had it go so quickly as it did today.
