Maybexx92 Posted February 5, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2018 Hi everyone, I will be cruising for the first time by the end of this month and chose Carnival Conquest. I’m confused on how the food arrangements work. Some foods/food bars/restaurants are all inclusive, and some cost extra. Will the cruise be providing any pamphlets explaining what’s included and what’s not? If not, how do I figure out what is part of the all inclusive plan? I tried speaking to customer service, but she was only able to explain the activities that were part of the plan. Any additional advice for first time cruisers would be highly appreciated! Thanks in advance

evandbob Posted February 7, 2018 #8 Share Posted February 7, 2018 Welcome. You may not find any food venues on Carnival that are (all inclusive". All inclusive generally means food & drinks. On Carnival, you will pay for any soda, wine, beer or booze you order in any restaurant. Perhaps the OP meant to say which food venues are included in the cost of the cruise and which are not? If so, Carnival Conquest has the Steakhouse for $35/pp, The Chef's Table, The Sushi place, the green eggs & ham breakfast, and the coffee shop for additional pay. All other venues are included in the cruise fare. Here's a tip to navigate the ship, esp. on "elegant nights" when the 5th deck promonade gets like rush hour in Grand Central Station: use the 4th deck walk through from the stairs outside the casino bar and elevators, through the nightclub, to exit at the aft upper level MDR just below the comedy club and piano bar. This same hallway can easily take you the other way, from the aft dining rooms to the casino and then on to the main theater in the front of the ship. You will bypass the crowds and lines waiting for photo ops that jam that promonade. If you want your pic taken, or just enjoy watching others pose, then just join the crowds.
