Why no chat feature on Royal's website?

I just don't understand why RCI doesn't have a chat with a vacation specialist feature? I mean it's 2018 and it would help sell cruises and possibly upgrades. It's just a convenient way to get answers as quickly as possible. NCL does a good job of this. What do you think?

They used to have a chat feature, but it was removed. I suspect because people would record the chat showing erroneous info being given and Royal would be forced to produce what they promised.

Yeah I used to like that. It was only though crown and anchor I think. I really wish they had this feature. Really makes getting info easier and faster. Thanks for the reply.

They just about have a website that allows you to get prices (and that doesn't even work all the time!) and you want them to add a LIVE CHAT feature too :eek: It'd probably end up connecting you to Live Chat @ Carnival or something like that

I was thinking this exact same thing!

 

Also, do we really want to add another layer of agents who have no idea what they're talking about?! It would be more convenient, albeit no more reliable.

 

I suspect they would also have trouble verifying info if you're talking about an existing reservation. I was helping a relative (or trying to help) and had all of their info, but the agent wouldn't allow me to ask or answer because I wasn't on the reservation. While I get the safety features of identification, I made the reservation, had the room, res#, names of passengers, b-days, etc. Basically, told him where to go...
