accio_7 Posted February 13, 2018 #376 Share Posted February 13, 2018 I do not see the GoPro 6 only the 5 They may have the 6 but it is not on display. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk So, I'm looking into using a GoPro-type camera for my upcoming cruise on Adventure, and am currently testing a few from a friend of mine at work. As he works in IT (like me), he is fairly techy and bought about a billion accessories for his toys and brought both cameras (one is real, other is fake) in from home. Anyway, I really like how easy they are to use :) He actually offered to lend it me for my December 2018 cruise, so I think if all goes well, I may end up buying one next year for my Harmony cruise in 2019. Take a look into the Yi 4K, very comparable to the GoPro but much cheaper. I have a Yi 4k and love it. XJokerX Posted February 13, 2018 #378 Share Posted February 13, 2018 Wow, that is really exciting to actually see the mythical (well, now not-so-mythical) island of Coco Cay. I'm 0/2 on my Anthem trips.

Sent from my SM-G935V using Forums mobile app The knock-off that I think I am going to eventually purchase is a 4K model, I just don't know which manufacturer it is. (My friend said it was around $100 Canadian and he purchased through Amazon.ca.) I filmed a few videos around the office and really like the quality :) The micro-SD card doesn't appear to be that expensive nor the multi-accessory kit. He also has a Hero 3 which was gifted to him from his wife (performance bonus through her company) and said that the cost of the camera and accessories is night and day compared to the knock-off. seadog67 Posted February 13, 2018 Author #381 Share Posted February 13, 2018 Hi Critics, we made it back onboard after a fabamondo morning on CocoCay! I will check back on some questions posted in a bit. On quick answer about to go cups in 270, they do not have them freely available but just ask they person making specialty coffees for one and they give you one. Not ideal but I just did it so you should be good. Also, I did not take notice as to where tender tickets were being dispensed due to our Suite Status we did not need them. As we were returning there were still full tenders heading over at 12:30 pm so if you want to maximize time on the island, try and get early tickets. It was really nice on the island today, have many videos and pictures to share a bit later.. Our morning powwow location.. very empty as we were on the second tender over.. Anthem anchored proud and tall! $395 for a cabana... we’ll pass this time... Because why not... Beach Yoga and Paddle Boarders Excursion.. Be back later with some more videos and picture once the phone battery recharges. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

OACAggie Posted February 13, 2018 #384 Share Posted February 13, 2018 Good info on the disney excursion, your info helped me greatly in my planning. In regards to Coco, when & where did they start handing out tender tickets to the "gold" :D members? Tender tickets...It is usually on the last sea day prior to Coco in 270. On my sailing, they started handing out about 30 mins. before the scheduled time which was 2:00pm. We had lunch in 270 around 1:00 and saw them set up at about 1:30. A line started, so they started handing out the tickets. We got tender #1, but we ended not making there due to weather.
Schatzie45 Posted February 13, 2018 #385 Share Posted February 13, 2018 Hi Seadog, one question. How are the beds? On our last 2 cruises on the LOS they were really hard and uncomfortable, and had to ask for extra mattress covers to be able to get comfortable. On Anthem in October, wonder if the beds were the same, Thanks

seadog67 Posted February 13, 2018 Author #391 Share Posted February 13, 2018 If you can, please ask around for the status of the dock. Are they still on track for a June completion date? Any other news on it? Thanks! I did not ask but you can see the progress here. Seems they have a ways to go but looks promising that is for sure! Newbcruiser1 Posted February 13, 2018 #393 Share Posted February 13, 2018 I once had my flight home cancelled due to bad weather at home and had to spend a couple of extra days at Disney. There is quite a lot to see and do without buying park tickets. You can ride the boats and monorail and go resort hopping and dream of future trips. There is a nice walk between Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness, once there you can go in the barns and see the horses, or lounge on the (no-swimming) beach. The Boardwalk resorts are also a great place to explore and have some ice cream. Character meals at a resort are another option, not free, but less than park tickets. Disney Springs is nice but I think the resorts are more interesting if you have 4-6 hours to spend. There are also plenty of cheap ubers within Disney to make things more efficient between point A to point B. Thanks for the ideas! I’ve seen the resorts, etc on my land trips in the past. A character meal could be fun though (again, I’ve done several but always in the parks). Alternatively I’d be just as happy at Disney springs as they’ve changed quite a bit since I was there last (5 years ago) and would be just as happy wandering around the stores, having a nice lunch, etc. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

On our last 2 cruises on the LOS they were really hard and uncomfortable, and had to ask for extra mattress covers to be able to get comfortable. On Anthem in October, wonder if the beds were the same, Thanks Our bed, while firmer than our mattress at home is very comfortable and we have had no issue on our 3 trips on Anthem with the beds. I have known back issues and fare really well on them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

FirstAnthem Posted February 13, 2018 #400 Share Posted February 13, 2018 I notice on the cruise compass that it says the evening's dress theme is Casual. I'm assuming that means the suggested dress for dinner. We have early seating in the MDR. What would casual mean? Mostly wondering for my husband and son who would love to be as casual as possible!
