flowerlady Posted February 9, 2018 #52 Share Posted February 9, 2018 (edited) You did say cattle call food.....but that is over now. If you are planning your little picnic on the next Anthem sailing, you might need a blanket. Happy sails to you....... If you are planning your little picnic on the next Anthem sailing, you might need a blanket. Sent from my iPad using Forums It is like a cattle call in there. That is what we do not like about it. It is not big enough to acommodate everyone and they just pile more and more people in. My critique is aimed at the cruise line not properly accommodating all of their passengers in a comfortable way.

rolloman Posted February 10, 2018 #57 Share Posted February 10, 2018 IMO will not be long before taking food on board will be banned similar to alcohol. In about 5 years everyone 18 years and older will be allowed 1 eight ounce sealed can of food per stateroom.
cruisegirl1 Posted February 10, 2018 #58 Share Posted February 10, 2018 We rarely bring any food on board, on embarkation, but have done so a few times. Each time, the food was not factory sealed. We were given some bakery items, and another time some candy shop candy. Rather than throw it out in the hotel, we brought the items on board. The items were in our carry on and no one ever questioned us. We’ve purchased some non factory sealed bakery items, nuts, dried fruit in various ports and again have never been told the items were not allowed on board. Rare John&LaLa Posted February 10, 2018 #60 Share Posted February 10, 2018 Because we like to have refreshments for sail away on our balcony. We don't do cattle call food when we board. That is not our idea of how to start a great vacation. ... thats why. Contact your Genie in advance. 😉 Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Forums mobile app
cavi77 Posted February 10, 2018 #61 Share Posted February 10, 2018 Why would you want to bring food on board? Just saying... Exactly, for what you pay to cruise I’m taking advantage of as much food on board as I can [emoji38] Sent from my iPhone using Forums
Rare shipshape sam Posted February 11, 2018 #62 Share Posted February 11, 2018 No idea, probably depends what kind of mood the security officer is in. LOL. That is for sure. We bought our chips in San Juan and security spent 3 seconds on the bag. We bought peanuts in a jar and Doritos.

I also, go to the ice cream bar and just ask for jelly beans.
