Muumuu Posted March 6, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 6, 2018 does the airline link seats ? Daughter and I booked and picked our seats but at different times. Just worried about a change of planes resulting in airline moving passengers.
Dance momma Posted March 6, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 6, 2018 Call the airline and asked if they can link the reservations, otherwise no they are not linked! Sent from my iPad using Forums
klfrodo Posted March 6, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 6, 2018 reservation or PNR codes can be linked but that has nothing to do with seat assignments. If one of you hold an elite status and a comp upgrade becomes available, the linked status "could" allow both to be upgraded but that's about it to the best of my knowledge. waterbug123 Posted March 8, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 8, 2018 See the replies in the other thread you posted. "Linking" of PNRs doesn't ensure anything, really.
6rugrats Posted March 8, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 8, 2018 If this is a major worry for you, you could cancel and rebook on the same itinerary.
Globaliser Posted March 8, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 8, 2018 If this is a major worry for you, you could cancel and rebook on the same itinerary.Though with the caveat (explained further on the other thread) that even this doesn't guarantee that the two pax will be seated next to each other on the aircraft, or even (in extreme circumstances) on the same aircraft.
