Buying wine and pop close to Port Miami

We are flying in from Toronto on the morning of our cruise. Flight gets in at 9:30am. I was thinking of taking Uber to the port as I've read its cheaper than taxi. I've never taken Uber....will the driver stop at a store for us to buy some wine and pop?

 

Also, please let me know the name of the best place to get these items, as we've never been to Miami before.

Any drug store or Publix grocery store will offer an adequate to reasonable wine selection plus sodas -- tell your driver what you need and expect to pay a small waiting fee while you shop. I would also add a nice tip. ;)

Right next to the Holiday Inn Port Of Miami hotel is a CVS.

 

Within one mile at Mary Brickell Village is a Publix grocery store.

 

Both are great options for Wine.

I always get in the day before a cruise, but we had already bought tickets to see Kevin Hart the night before so I had no choice but book day of. Hoping it all goes smooth!

With all the construction I would have the Uber driver stop at Whole Foods. It's right as you get off of 95 and will be much quicker to stop there instead of going to Mary Brickell. They have an excellent wine department.

 

You can add a stop in the Uber app. Otherwise tell your Uber driver when you get in that you need to stop.

It's the term folks in New England and Canada use to refer to Coke, Sprite and other soft drinks -- think about the old term soda pop.

Also Midwest. I grew up in Michigan and we said pop. Now I just go with Coke and accept that some places serve Pepsi and will correct me.
