Cruising solo question

Hello,

 

Next summer will be my first time travelling solo on the golden princess. First time sailing with princess to Alaska and can’t wait!

 

Just wondering if this cruise line has any solo travellers meet up events on the ship?

I haven't seen any activities specifically for solos, but I've never had any problem with meeting people at afternoon tea, by the pool, in the Piazza, or wherever else.

There were no meetings on my solo CB cruise. NCL is the best for solo sailing.

I have seen events for singles and solos on Princess ships. They have been listed in the Princess Patter which you get every day

I remember seeing events listed in the patter too. But i had met so many people on the roll call and at dinner i never bothered going.

On the Royal Princess in February I recall seeing a singles gathering scheduled in the daily program, Princess Patter.

I may be wrong but I have read that Princess makes an effort to seat those who sign up for traditional fixed dining with others who have something in common that might make for a more enjoyable dining experience. It could be that they would seat singles with other singles. I haven't cruised as a single nor do I select traditional dining so I cannot speak from experience.

Thanks very much for the replies! Ya my first solo cruise was last summer on NCL to Alaska. It was fabulous! Ya NCL had meet and greets for solos on their daily activity newsletter. I assumed Princess does something similar but wasn’t sure. I know it’s no big deal since you meet people everywhere on the ship :)

Yes, there are almost always a get-together for solos. I cruise solo and haven’t attended one in many years. Instead, I meet people in the buffet or dining room, on tours, going to shows, attending events, the book club, etc.
