We love Key West. We try to get off the ship early and walk the town when it is quiet. We have places we have and continue to visit that we enjoy; Hemingway House.

There is the Conch Tour Train. Took that with our family when kids were young.

Often when out early we sea Animals walking around.

We enjoy walking in the residential areas.

There are museums and even an aquarium.

Pretty Buildings and all sorts of art work.

Lots of stores and markets and of course restaurants.

We also walk by the area where there are many vessels. You can go fishing.

Depending on your arrival and departures times.

 

A nice place to smell the roses. In other words walk around slowly and take it all in.

 

A nice pace to enjoy a cup off coffee, a drink, or even Key Lime Pie.

 

A nice place for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

 

A nice place to visit the beach and to enjoy beautiful scenery.

 

A nice place to learn about all sorts of things with its long history and places to visit.

 

A nice place to shop.

 

A nice place to go deep sea fishing.

 

A nice place to visit on your own without an excursion.

 

And a nice place to tour on an organized excursion if you prefer to go that route.

 

It is one of our favorite stops in the USA.

We are renting a townhouse with 2 other couples and spending a week there this summer. Cannot wait! We've been to Key West twice, but only for a day on a cruise ship stop. Really looking forward to getting to spend time enjoying all Key West has to offer. Thanks for the pics.

Love KW - never stopped there on a cruise, though.

 

We were surprised with the Shipwreck museum - enjoyed it more than we thought we would, especially the climb to the lookout. The Aquarium is disappointing although my wife did get to feed the sharks the first time we were there.......

If you are adventurous, book a day trip to Fort Jefferson. It's incredible. Also, book a sunset dinner at Latitudes.
