Seattle Embarkation

We are cruising on the Ruby Princess in June going to Alaska. Our plane arrives at 10:15 and considering getting bags and traveling to pier, I'm thinking we'd arrive at 11-11:15. Does Princess stick to the 1 pm embarkation or do they start boarding early? And is there anything in walking distance of pier to see if we don't want to sit?

This is our first Princess and Alaska cruise, can't wait to go. Thanks in advance for any help!!

Seems as if your last question was never answered. Unfortunately, no, the pier itself (Pier 91) is about 3.25 miles from downtown Seattle and although there are a couple of places where you can buy wine or food within 3/4 of a mile or so of the pier, there are no areas for sighseeing or shopping nearby. But, as the others have said your arrival time is good for getting on the ship with no problems, although it may, or may not, be long lines to check in. Just depends on how your luck is running. :D
