Prebook - can you use your OBC?

Thanks. if the OBC is coming from the travel agent can RCCL see the OBC in their system? I will call. Thank you.

Also, if we have $ left over can we get cash back at the end of the cruise?

You can't use the TAs OBC pre-cruise. RCs OBC is nonrefunable. Most TAs OBCs are refundable. Ours always is. Ask your TA before your cruise. On the ship you will be able to review your onboard account on your cabin TV. If the OBC code has a R at the end of it, it is refundable. A N at the end of the OBC code it is nonrefundable.

Thank you. So annoying....but from a bit of hunting on this board, the NR can still be cashed out in the casino? I am 99% sure all of the OBC is from the TA.

This is what our invoice says

Gift

Royal Caribbean International (Gift)

I'd call the TA and make sure. From what you just posted sounds like an RC OBC. I have no experience with cashing out NR-OBC at the casino. I'm sure someone else can clarify whether or not that is an option.

We got 2 quotes, one from a local brick and mortar TA and they didn't offer the OBC and the RCCL website did not offer the OBC - that's why I thought it was from the TA. We just booked last week & it was within 90 days of the cruise (7 nights)

Based on your post neither is offering an OBC.

No, the TA we chose did offer the OBC and it's printed on our invoice. Neither the B&M TA not RCCL were offering any, so that's why I think it's from the TA. I will still call tomorrow.

If the OBC is from Royal it will show up on the cruise planner.

If it is from the TA it won’t show up on the cruise planner.

Since yours is not showing up then it is from the TA.

AFAIK, TA OBC does not show up until the cruise starts.

So no, you cannot use it to pre-book, as it is not in the system.

RCI OBC is listed as soon as you book, so you can use it.

Royal Credit Card OBC can show up in your account before sailing, and if so, can be used to pre-book.
