what is a drink card if you win the seat in a satellite?

Two years ago, you won a card that would get you free drinks while you were in the casino with the package.  Last year they removed that benefit, so no card was issued.  Not sure if they are doing that promotion moving forward.

is this the same as the unlimited drink package if you get the appropriate room?

The Casino card they used to give was similiar, except that it also included bottled water (the ultimate beverage package) did not include bottled water.  Also, the casino card only worked while you were in the casino, where as the UBP works anywhere on the ship and on the private island as well.

As Gunky23 stated, it's similar but only includes simple mixed "well" drinks, beer and wine, but not specialty cocktails or frozen drinks.  It also includes bottled water and energy drinks, which are not included under the UBP.

Okay well I won a satellite tournament the past week and they told me is was worth 2250 and a 1150 entry. The question I have since it is an inside state room and I upgraded to let's say a haven would the difference be discounted off getting a haven room?

Happy to help since I did this very thing about a month ago.  Call the Casinos at Sea number that's on the piece of paper they gave in you an envelope when you won the tournament.  When you call, you'll speak with a booking rep who will verify that you won the tournament (it took them about a week to get my name from the ship), then they'll give you options.  When I inquired about a Haven room, I was told I'd get the cost of the inside room off of the Haven room.  One thing to keep in mind though, is that the rates CAS has are lower than what you'll see on the website, so that savings is higher than I initially thought it'd be.

In my situation we save a good amount of money and are really looking to both the cruise and the tournament.  Once you've booked, head over to the roll call (if you haven't already)!

So with the discount how much did your total come to (approximately)?

Roughly 4k with all the taxes/fees/grats/etc for a forward facing Haven (H7) with all free at sea options.  I think it saved me over a grand after taking the "free inside stateroom" into account based on what the prices were at the time I booked.  The nice thing is the free airfare is saving me a decent amount of money because it's Thanksgiving weekend so prices are atypically high.

Sadly they're now sold out so I can't try and see if the price drops!

Wow that is a very nice savings. About the high prices for the flights that sort of makes this a very high priced avoids after if you were to sell this package, since you have the option to save so much on the flights. Well over the listed amounts that it is listed at.

Possibly, but there are two factors you're competing with.  First, a lot of people will just drive to NoLa, which partially negates that.  The second is supply.  There seem to have been a lot of people who want/need to sell them which may/may not exceed demand (certainly enough to depress the price somewhat).

Curious--did the free airfare cover the entire cost of the flights?

I know this is an old thread, but can any of you poker players tell me what kind of game they deal on board? I'll be on the Escape in October. I'm guessing either $1/2 or $2/4 NL, but if anyone knows for sure, I'd love to hear it.

It did for us - we're LAX based so the flight to MSY was fully covered

This has been sold.

But on a side note does anyone know the tournament schedule and structure? schedule: does it take place the same time you are in port for excursions and such? structure: blinds, anti, times?  Anyone know the past tournament schedule and structure?
