I agree in a deep down way ;) and in reality the extra $20 is only one old fashion at the Rising Tide Bar when I add a tip so not life altering for sure :) but I am still struggling with it imagining Richard Fain sitting there counting that extra $20 in revenue LOL..

Look at it this way, considering what RCI spends for the ingredients in your drink they are probably making a higher percentage of profit off of that than they are on the model. And you will have the model forever, the drink is history in about 1-2 hrs.

The design pattern on the carpets

 

 

Is carried over onto the pull handles on the drawers and cabinets...

Sitting here reading your post on the balcony, I realized we always focus looking out the back of the boardwalk and I turned to see a great shot of Wonderland and Dazzles lit up in the early morning...

Was today's weather as predicted? Hoping it was better.

 

 

Sorry I missed these earlier. The afternoon improved dramatically, as it was predicted to be a washout the day before by the Captain. It was however for this Northerner very humid out on the decks so I did not venture out much ;)

 

Do you know if the teen rooms have soda or other beverages included? My boys were asking. Disney had smoothie bars and soda but all of that is included in your cruisefare. Thanks in advance !

 

 

If you mean the teen lounge area, I believe it is called Fuel on here, I can try and find out in my travels today. I apologize upfront if I do not find out though.

Thanks! And I have taken your advice and have not laughed this much in a long time. I am traveling with an awesome awesome group of family and friends and feel very lucky to have this time to spend with them as we live a good bit away from them in every day life.

Do you know if there are any live bands doing a "Karaoke night" or Open mic night on the ship? I was on the Allure a few years back and one of the bands had a night where passengers could come sing with them. It was wonderful! Hoping I can have the same experience again when I hop on the Harmony in August.

Thank you SeaDog67. I'm just now backreading this thread and noticed you are posting the daily compasses, so I'll browse through them to see if I find anything. It's usually listed something different than karaoke, I think. Probably open mic or singing contest or something :-)

Harmony 06/02/18

 

 

 

I made a quick video of our Royal Collection-of ships at the beginning of the report.

 

We have two curio cabinets I guess is what they are with mirrored backs and about 7 shelfs each that we have each ship and pictures from that cruise displayed with each ship on.

 

We need to find a place for a third display soon if I keep buying the models :) then probably a bigger house lol

Sorry for the absence this afternoon, but got caught up having fun, ( the days are dwindling so grabbing as much fun as possible as i finally checked work email and responded to a few to remind me why I need to have as much fun as possible). Hope to have some fun posts tonight. Plan is to see the musical but we are only batting 300 on actually doing activities planned, which in baseball is great, but for cruise activities not so much :)

Enjoying the quiet..

 

 

When they made an announcement that two fellow passengers needed blood and anyone willing to donate to please go to the Medical Center. Headed down and found out O negative was needed, I am sad to say I was unsure of mine, but they said they can type it. Thankfully many people responded to the call that were O Negative, but they still took our names as more might be needed and they would call us by name and cabin number if needed.

 

I offer this as I reminder it is good to know your health details, like blood type and also that I was heartened to see so many fellow passengers answer the call! Well done My fellow Harmony Sailors!!

It has been a lazy rainy day but nice and relaxing.

 

They had open ice skating from 1-4 today. Several from our group tried it. It was in Studio B deck 4 forward or midshipish...

 

 

 

Studio B has a space/ astronaut theme

 

Walking on the moon

 

 

Open skating or falling with a good bit of arm flailing.. depends on how you view things

Well after almost 6 days in this Boardwalk Balcony Cabin, I can offer a bit of a critique on the cabin location. The cabin itself has been wonderful and feels plenty roomy with the layout than many similar cabins on other ships.

 

We never felt crowded and there is plenty of storage.

 

The one thing we do not like is this location, deck 12 on the boardwalk, this cabin is very noisy, as you can hear everything from up top on the sports deck to everything on the boardwalk and with the bed next to the balcony, if you like to take an afternoon nap or try to go to bed before the end of the last diving show you will hear a lot of the action.

 

Most afternoons they perform the diving show practice and you hear every part of the music and sound effects.

 

I just point this out as we have been on ocean-view balconies and central park balconies and they were both much quieter from our experience.

 

The above is nothing cruise ruining, but just offering so one may be aware. We are not sure if lower level cabins on the boardwalk are better at blocking the noise from the sports deck or not.
