Thanks bunches! Outside Small area starboard aft side of the promenade outside of Vista Lounge where the promenade narrows. You might be able to smell some smoke in the few cabins on deck 8 directly above. Inside Some parts of the casino when playing. Casino is smoke free some evenings. Shooter's Bar - the only location for cigar and pipe smoking. Ronnieslady Posted May 24, 2018 #5 Share Posted May 24, 2018 You definitely could in the deck 8 mini suites above that area. You are right. A friend of ours had one of those minis on deck 8 & the smoke did bother her, to the point that she felt her balcony was useless 😎

Based on the information above, I was planning to change my Deck 9 cabin away from Starboard side AFT. I just talked with Princess agent. She is emphatic that the outside designated smoking areas on Deck 7 are all on the Port side . The exception is one day on Alaska cruise while viewing glaciers. If my information from Princess is wrong, please let me know. Thanks.

Along with a 3x per hr grinding noise in the cabin it was pretty awful.
FLCruise7 Posted June 4, 2018 #9 Share Posted June 4, 2018 I think the Princess rep was pretty much wrong about any of the ships. We've been on about 10 different ships & the Promenade deck smoking area has always been on the starboard side aft (right outside the back lounge). I think a lot of the phone reps have not been on a lot of ships (if any).
RetireNCruise Posted July 21, 2018 #10 Share Posted July 21, 2018 Thank you FLCruise7 and Alaskanb for the information on Star smoking side. Changed cabins to be Port side. My apologies for delayed reply, was busy trying to rebook ... etc.

Funny to be asking about Star as that ship that had a major fire attributed to a cigarette back in 2006.
