az201013 Posted June 17, 2018 #1 Share Posted June 17, 2018 How far ahead should an excursion be booked?
14Terry Posted June 17, 2018 #2 Share Posted June 17, 2018 I book them as soon as I book the cruise. Sent from my iPad using Forums
CruiserBruce Posted June 17, 2018 #3 Share Posted June 17, 2018 Depends if they are limited capacity or not. If yes, ASAP. If not, you have more leeway. If there is something you REALLY want to do, book it immediately.
cb at sea Posted June 17, 2018 #4 Share Posted June 17, 2018 Before you book anything, know something about your ports! What you are interested in might be easily doable without an excursion at all! Most Caribbean ports are very easy to DIY! There is no advantage to waiting, if you really see something that "floats your boat"!
George C Posted June 17, 2018 #5 Share Posted June 17, 2018 I dislike ships tours, I would do it on our own , or with fellow members from roll call
Debbdo Posted June 17, 2018 #6 Share Posted June 17, 2018 I also try to book mine shortly after booking the cruise. I do a lot of research on ports and what is available to do there. Do I want something relaxed? Something active? I read reviews (here) on excursions. I am a planner and don't want to leave anything to chance.
