Bpos Posted July 11, 2018 Author #51 Share Posted July 11, 2018 Probably taste like ship and are best eaten as a floater.;p One of the best ship pies I have ever eaten was on the Diamond Princess a few years ago. We only discovered them a couple of days before the cruise ended, in the International Cafe and it was our first port of call for the last few days on board, could not get enough of them. The only downside was that I had to go to Woop Woop more than usual when we got home.
Rare MicCanberra Posted July 11, 2018 #52 Share Posted July 11, 2018 I have enjoyed a pie or two on a cruise ship, notably I had a few last weekend.

Harry’s cafe de wheels had a Harry’s cafe de sea, for a very short time. Princess have Mrs Macs and a few reasonable ones at IC. Celebrity had a few on the buffet one cruise. Rare MicCanberra Posted July 11, 2018 #54 Share Posted July 11, 2018 Most of the time, I actually like the ship's versions better than the commercial offerings they may have onboard.

Some cooks make a great pie, there are a few I had prefer from stand alone bakeries, but the mass market are consistent.

I hope you have had a few Blakeney's pies on Melbourne St; GUT; best in NSW. (I know they have won awards from Royal easter show). Love how they have a filled dome.. So different & such a great taste...

The bakery (Bakers Delight) near Good Guys isn’t bad either.
